General Carowinds discussion

I've been thinking that possibly the next attraction announced on the Fury day could still be Centurion. We already have Fury awaiting on the main entrance, could the Centurion be a possible Gate Keeper for a maybe renovated South Entrance at Carowinds?

We already have Afterburn that goes under the south gate so I don't think they would need to pay the extra money to renovate the south entrance along with the coaster. I'm not sure why they would renovate an entrance that is barely used and does not have significant problems like the plantation house did.

Well Kings Island did have the leak about The Bat right before the Banshee announcement, and it was announced that Flight deck would be changing to The Bat, So its certainly possible that we could be seeing something like Vortex -> Centurion floorless in the coming years like several people on here have speculated before. Don't think we'll be getting a new south gate though

You do know Carowinds has a budget, right? If Carowinds does get another big coaster it won't be for 3-4 years. Lets just be that grateful we are getting an iconic 325 ft. giga coaster to enjoy for many years to come.

Ik but they did say about the big splash coming to 2016, we can still afford another coaster , just gotta wait and see what they bring!

I was thinking kind of the same thing yesterday^^.
But my thoughts are these:

Since we are getting many more parking spaces up north, I think that the parking spaces next to Thunder Road will be ripped up for a later park expansion, along with the demolition of the south entrance for, perhaps, a future county fair expansion, planet snoopy expansion, and a waterpark expansion. Demolishing all of those parking spaces will open up A LOT of room on that end of the park, thus, more room for new flat rides and another roller coaster.
Just my two cents.

However, I still think that, should the current south entrance get demolished and a park expansion is put into place, that a new south gate will be added to the newly expanded area.
I'm just throwing out some thoughts here. Feel free to interject ideas.

Ok I see why they would go with floorless coaster, but I do hope if they renew vortex they add some more loops and twist if they are gonna give it that awesome Centurion name. If not leave the Centurion name for a future roller coaster. Since carowinds is in a budget, would a reverse launch coaster like superman cost them much to build?

This idea could be crazy, and I eouldnt expected for another few years, but a Michael Jordan themed roller coaster would be awesome, I mean Cedar pointe considered a Lebron James roller coaster, so why wouldn't the GOAT that played here in North Carolina shouldn't get one? Maybe call it "Airness" or "23"
