I want everybodys honest opninion do we really want to get a hyper coaster a Morgan Hyper by chance i am not dissing Morgans but there is so many other Hyper type coasters availiable. We Have Giovonala who gave us Goliath @ SFMM and then there is Intamin coasters which gave us great coasters like Expedition Ge Force and Millennium Force... Now i think in my personal opinion i want a hyper coaster and then i dont want a hyper. I would like a Intamin since that is really the only other manufacturer of roller coasters we do not have other than GCI but thats a different story.

But i would like to point out something that could lead ot what ever hyper roller coaster or whatever coaster we get it... I saw a few Survey Guys out in a field on on Highway 77 it was the field right before the mall and i dont know if they were surveying something for carowinds but it makes you wonder what they are surveying so we will have to see what happens...

Morgan may have created a good coaster...once?....

I would be happy with a morgan hyper. Intamin's are alot better, but you can get some good air on morgans.

Heck yeah I want a Hyper!!! But not an Intamin, I don't know why but i'm kinda scared of riding Intamin stuff now(exept for Drop Zone and WWF)(do not comment me on this either, I don't wanna talk about it), i would like a Morgan, Arrow, or B&M though...

I'd love to have something like Apollo's Chariot, maybe about 500 ft longer :)

I love the B&M hypers. They are smooth as silk.

I did like M Force though made by Intamin and also Superman RoSteel at Six Flags America.

But the B&M one seems to be holding up better than than the Intamin's.

I've been dreaming of a hyper ever since I rode Apollo's Chariot.

Yes. I'd prefer Intamin or B&M although I wouldn't mind a Morgan either. I mean if we can deal with two Vekomas then we certainly can tolerate a Morgan!

B&M for me. You can't go wrong with them!

I'd love to see a hyper. I really don't know if they're in the game plan for the park or not. But, the Southeast really needs one! That's what surprises me is the fact that there's not one in the South.

The manufacturer really doesn't matter to me. If its a B&M, I'd like to see one with the twisted elements and curves of Nitro and Silver Star with the air time of Apollo. Intamin? A clone of SFNE's SROS will be fine (always heard SFOG was suppose to get a replica of it.) I know some don't like Morgan but Steel Force is one of my favourites.

I guess its just a waiting game to see what and when and if, we get one.

I guess I'd like a hyper.

A morgan wouldn't be bad, Mamba was an incredible coaster. But I've already had a Morgan at my homepark, so I think a different manufacturer would be nice.

A Beemer would be nice, but not like Apollo. I tend to think it was really overrated, and I didn't enjoy it. The ride seemed too smooth and not exciting enough. I'd like a B&M Hyper only if it had more curves and variety in the layout.

Intamin would be the ultimate! I have been very impressed with all of their designs, everything seems to be very unique about them. They're really popular now too, so I think it could help bring Carowinds some more publicity, although any hyper or huge coaster might do that.

Back in 1997, I saw the preliminary drawings for a scheduled 2002 Morgan Hyper at Carowinds. The station was located over behind the log flume. Like many preliminary plans and ideas, this one obviously did not materialize.

In retrospect, I am glad that it did not happen. Welcome INTAMIN!

I love all hypers but I personally believe Intamins to be the most thrilling of the breeds. I love the narrower track that Intamin has. I also like the low sided trains that give you a more open feeling as well as the impression of being barely restrained. Plus, all Intamin hypers have AIRTIME GALORE! Check out these SRoS photos and the POV.. Need I say more ;)

B&M's are my second choice. I really prefer 2 across seating for hypers but I can't say enough good about NITRO and APOLLO'S CHARIOT. Very thrilling!

But, even if Carowinds gets a CHANCE-MORGAN coaster, I'd be thrilled!

Do I really want a hyper...............No. Some parks would be good for a hyper and some wont be. In my opinion i think carowinds is one of those parks that wont be. The park is like a hidden jewel. Its not one of those parks where you can see everything from the front gate. I think the coaster line up at carowinds is pretty good so far. I think parks like six flags coaster mountain and coasterpoint are better fitting for hypers because hyper coaster are kinda hard to not notice. Carowinds is still a "carolina" park regardless of how much paramount may change it. And i think moderate thill rides are what keep the people comming back for more. Bigger doesnt mean better and the crowd has shown that w/ the ridership of top gun. I also think the excitement of not being able to see every attraction the park offers also helps.......(like SFoG)

Now dont get me wrong, I would like to see a larger scale coaster but more like a jr. hyper like this.

Its not too big to overshadow the sky tower and it still packs one hell-of-a- punch!!
It can be placed by thunder road that way it wont be an eye sore to the rest of the park and it will have its own space instead of weaving around other rides. I guess you can compare me to the locals of alton towers lol lol

That or another 150' coaster, something like this. It wouldn't overshadow the skytower and would still pack a punch. I would also be cheaper. I hapened to ride that coaster like 30 times in one day because it was walk-on all day. So was their batman clone.

Yes, a Goliath knock-off would be a perfect fit for Carowinds.
Another good example of a Jr. Hyper that packs a helluva punch

Well basically since Carowinds is flat, you'll see any coaster over 100 ft from the road. Unless it's in the very back.

I don't care if the thing was 300 ft tall. I'd be drooling at it every time I drove by there. lol

MForce at Cedar Point doesn't ruin the view, it enhances it.

It's an amusement park for goodness sakes. lol
