Vortex not exciting?? Try holding your hands up as high as you can, then it's exciting...

I agree with what bgwfreak said...

I don't think that's going to happen for a long time.

The GP still thinks a standup is an amazing thing, even when enthusiasts don't. :)

Yep!

Wow, that was a lot to read through...I guess that's what you get when you fall off the face of the earth for a month and a half.

Here are my thoughts. First off, Boomerang Bay is definitely a possibility. Especially being in this climate. I really am surprised they don't open the waterpark earlier in the year than they do now.

As for the County Fair rumors....first off, moving the games into the corner of county fair would be pointless. The whole idea of the setup now is that you have to go through the games to get to the rides, increasing the likelyhood of someone stopping and playing a game. Putting the games in the corner takes away virtually all the foot traffic - no one would play! Second, Delerium is big ride, if you haven't been to PKI and seen theirs, it takes up the entire area King Kobra sat on. So, if they put it smack dab in the middle of where the games in County Fair are now, you would also have to take out the food shops and the bumper cars. Where Frenzoid sits now would be a perfect location for something like Delerium.

As for Frenzoid being removed...I have been hearing that for quite a few years now. Granted, it has low ridership, many mechanical problems, and is kinda off by itself, so I don't necessarily doubt this rumor, however, it seems to be getting put off constantly.

Waynes World definitely needs a revamp. It's not even Waynes World anymore, its Thrill Zone, while retaining the names of the stores, food shops, and rides of Waynes World. I would keep an eye on this area. In the next few years, this is where I would see a revamp of the whole area to make it similar to the Thrill Zone at other Paramount Parks, with maybe the addition of a flat ride. Tomb Raider would be nice, Delerium...hell, anything from Huss.

Let's also keep in mind the survey that was sent out not too long ago with the Italian Job themed ride and the Addams Family vertical drop coaster...

^^While I agree that moving the games to a corner of the park may lower the number of guest they attract, I still think they could use that space by the old swings to put a few of those silly ring toss games to clear out the middle of the county fair section. You still would see them there while waiting to enter the Action Theater. I know that Delerium is a pretty big attraction, but there's enough space to put it in the middle of County Fair with que lines, I might add! This can be done without having to remove any restuarants or the Dodgems.

To me the Frenzoid area needs to be saved for the Adams Family Type coaster. There's plenty of room over there. I think that by removing one flat (frenzoid) just to add another is a waste of space. I was noticing today (while sitting on the brake run of Thunder Road) that there is a lot of open space between TR and Frenzoid. Add that space along with the space between Frenzoid and WWF and you really have some acerage to work with.

As far as Thrill Zone the only changes there may be done with name changes. In addition to taking Stan Mikita off of the cafe. I really hope for something big in a couple of years to compliment the Hurler, DZ and Scream Weaver.

Hey, I wouldnt mind having that new SWAT ride, like at SFAW. They could take out Frenziod, fill in the lake, and there you go!!!!!!!
Hect, A few years from now when Vortex gets ancient!!!!, remove that and add swat. Six Flags removed Texas Tornado for a new flat ride..

I think a 50s theme would be cool for Thrill Zone. Not that they would actually do that (Or any of the rides already there would fit in)

I really don't know if a Frisbee would fit out in the middle of County Fair. Maybe if it was situated sort of sideways. Like CharlotteGuy said, Delirium is VERY big!

Vortex won't be leaving for quite a while.

Oh, by the way, its really funny how the seat belts on vortex's restraints say "for marine use only"

^The ones on Georgia Scorcher at SFOG say that on them too. I think it means they are water proof.

This question came up on TN too. I think we decided it was a buckle that are sold to all types of companies that use them for things like boats. I don't think they're water proof, it's for "marine use", as in for water craft.

They should be, one train must have to be out of the station at all times.

Tell me Mister Cephas, what good would it do for a seatbelt to be waterproof? It should still work the same when wet, at least I would hope so. I don't really understand how a seatbelt would be waterproof anyway. " 'Splane".

They aren't water proof?

Than what do they do when it rains or somebody urinates on one?
