This topic came to mind today as I was standing in line on two occasions at Vortex. Might I add both times were during a ride break down.
Who's the big Diva talking on the microphone in the station house? She had a serious attitude problem and a serious need for authority.
Example: When Vortex broke down she asked the riders who had just boarded and strapped into the train, to exit the train. When the riders (75% of them) just stood there because they really didn't understand what was going on she again announced and I quote " AS I SAID BEFORE PLEASE EXIT THE TRAIN TO THE LEFT". Might I add that she did this with quite an attitude! It wasn't until then that she made the official announcement that they were having technical problems. Finally everyone stepped off the train.
I stood there in the que line next in line to ride and just watched her and the rest of the crew. It must have took them 10 minutes before they finally picked up the BAT PHONE and told everyone to go enjoy some other ride, because they ain't going to enjoy this one! I couldn't believe my ears.
Has anyone ever experienced such rood behavior from a PC employee? I know that some of the kids out there need some serious lessons in hospitality but this blew me away.
On a happier note the ThunderRoad crew was racing the trains most of the day.
