I would enjoy hearing your logic on this one as I am sure there is alot of other people that would enjoy reading it.

So I am going to use your logic of since it is torn down then it does not count. Then lets look at some of the coasters that you have deleted:

Crystal Beach Cyclone
Airplane Coaster at Playland Park
Cyclone Racer at Queens Park
Zephyr at Pontchartrain Beach
Mr. Twister at Elitch Gardens
Bat at PKI (and yes this one counts)
Big Bend at SFOT

I could go on with this but I think the point has been proved. If a coaster is built and opens to the people then it does count. I do not care if it is only open for a afew hours. It counts as being open and will count there Mr. Thunderfan. I am wonder if you are for real or someone trying to look rather stupid?

I know you will come back with some examples of rides that where built and closed and YOU think that noone counts them. Again you are showing what I think Trev use to have in his sig. I am sure he will tell you if you are clueless.

Time to steer this topic back on the road.

I agree CoasterDave, I love some people's logic around here. Example...In another thread someone says...." The TV station has been removed from the entrance of Animation Station, therefore it must mean that the whole area is going to be rethemed".

They removed the dippin dots stand, that must mean that Bryers has bought them out

Skytrak at Granada Studios in Manchester England was the World's First Flying Coaster. It opened up in 1997, but was short lived since the park closed down. SkyTrak headed to the scrap yard in 98.

But Stealth was the world's first Flying Coaster with inversions. Right?
Besides, I always considered Sky Trak more of a monorail than a real coaster. But opinions vary on that.

Personally, I think some of these younger "enthusiasts" need to go and learn about some of the past coasters and then they'd get a real appreciation of our hobby. As I've said before, just because its bigger and faster doesn't mean its better.

Here is another Carowinds first - the first theme park to incorporate a waterpark. That's a big one, I mean, think of how many theme parks across the U.S. now have waterparks within the park....Carowinds was the first.

Good job. I knew that too, its just I forgot to put it in, but I have an ad-on to that. We were the first park to incorporate a water park for no extra charge. If it hadn't been for PC doing this, we might have to pay extra to go to the water park, which would reall suck. Too bad Splash Country and Dollywoood don't do this, but I can see why since they're not adjoining, except for the parking lots. Plus, Splash Country is a whole lot bigger than Water Works. Whoops, got off Carowinds and topic a bit. But good job reminding us that!

I find it funny you say that cause when i was at the park yesterday I notice some changes around that area. Peter-potamus baloon race looks to be missing some surrounding stuff. the whole area looks empty. God forbid they incorporate that area to expand nick central being that it is one of the smaller centrals in the chain. What a sad day in carowinds history if that does happen..............

Does anyone know why the old HB characters dont even roam the park anymore??

Yeah Yeah i got off topic a little...............SO WHAT!!

I am thinking the question was Stealth was the first Flying coaster, not what was the first flyer with inversions. In that case then Stealth is the first Flying coaster with inversions.

Outside of Scooby Doo, today's kids even know who the HB characters are? I know Spongebob is popular but I'd rather be entertained by the Jetsons, Flintstones than I would by a sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea.

who just imagined CoasterBruh doing the Six Flags old man routine for Carowinds....

Please don't add Animation Station to Nick Central, that would just stink. I know all of the characters used in the area.

Max is right, it really shows how old I (and a lot of other members on these boards ;) )am getting. The characters I grew up seeing at the park were Capt. Caveman, Jabberwocky, etc.

Okay...I'm going off topic...

Is there something that I didn't know? Has Mystery Inc come out of the closet? I know there was speculation about Velma....

Somehow Scooby-Scat just doesn't sound right.
