^^and new brick pavers will run along side it across the new bridge. However, the brick pavers that are currently in the Carowinds plaza will remain. Steve said that the park has planned for the future and, more than likely, the Carowinds Plaza will change later on.

That really intrigues me. I'm very interested in the aesthetic side of what Cedar Fair is doing with Carowinds, and I have long found the Carowinds Plaza to be a fairly lackluster area with mix-matched and outdated architecture. I hope they incorporate a fountain behind the signage and really open up the area as much as possible. I have a feeling I'm going to love the new entrance plaza and can't wait to see the end result of all hard this work. My excitement for next season has really kicked into overdrive since all of the Winter Warm Up details surfaced.

Steve also said that over the years, there will be changes made all across the park. Not only to make it look better, but to also incorporate more shade, trees, landscaping, etc...

Would be nice to see the shade structures for Skytower and Scrambler return. Drop Zone could use one too.

Here's one question I have about the new front entrance. On days where people will be coming and going constantly, where will people exit the park? Around the sides of the new canopy while guests enter through it?

I'll go ahead and assume that this is the exit:

Here, there are turnstiles. I could be wrong, but I also think that this is one way to get into the paladium. But I also think that this is the park exit. We won't know for sure though until March.

At Cedar Point you just exit through the side of the building, if I recall they added some more lanes when it got closer to park closing, Not the best picture but you can see which ones are entrance lanes and which ones were exit lanes.

i assumed that it would be where it was before. There is a gate marked there, but looking closer I see gates everywhere.

Yea at CP you'd exit thru the side of the gate during the day and when the park closed they just let you walk out anywhere being there are no turnstiles.

So then maybe the turnstyles are to count the Paladuim to Carowinds Visitors. The image doesnt mention anything about turnstyles under the canopy.
So does CP just scan tickets?

Looking the CP structure compared what I can see from the webcam, the two look nothing alike. It almost looks like Carowinds will look like a giant trellis. However it could be that decorative parts will cover the steel skeleton.

Yes, Cedar Point's entrance doesn't have any turnstiles or metal detectors or anything, they just scan and 1 second later you're in. It's insanely efficient.

^^^^ Very true and they don't check bags either. When I went I walked up scanned my pass and walked right in and enjoyed myself.
