^^I'm confused.

But anyway..
In order for me to construct the model, I need a clear area.
And this room will suffice, however, it's not very clear...

Yeah, a mess.

So I decide to clean it today (for the most part anyway)...

Now I have room to make each of the three sections of the model. I will start by making all of the buildings individually, then I will make the actual base and landscaping and I will attach everything later.

Okay, So I started construction on the model yesterday. I started with the Ticket Booths. I'll create a video of the construction of each building on YouTube. But here is a picture of what it looked like when I stopped working on it yesterday:
Cardboard Structure complete

Back side brick walls complete

This is it as of now

I still have a lot of work to do to these buildings. I plan to finish all of the Brick masonry work today and start on the window and door moldings tomorrow.

The Ticket Booths as of now...

All of the brick walls are on the structures. I still need to make the brick extrusions that will go on the corners of the buildings, then I will paint the walls and foundation (which is comprised of strips of sandpaper by the way).
After I paint the brick walls, I will go ahead and sculpt the windows from clay, paint them, and then add them to the buildings. There are 12 of them and they will be exactly the same.
Good night.

Okay, here's the Ticket booths as of tonight:

All of the brick work is finished, I will paint the foundations a concrete color, then I will paint the walls a coat of brick color using Acrylic Paint. Tomorrow, I will go in between all of the bricks and paint the mortar to make the buildings look realistic.
Once I finish the construction of the ticket booths, I'll post a video to my YouTube channel with a montage of the construction.
See ya on 3/25 (hopefully with this model!)

This is truly impressive work man. Creating such detail on that scale is very difficult to achieve. It's really awesome to see such craftsmanship, and I just want to give you the utmost praise. I cannot wait to see the project in frutition! Please, keep it up!

Thanks Patrick.

I was crunching some numbers and as of today, I have spent $118.93 on the materials for this model. In February, I will probably be spending around $150 to get the rest of what I need. Even if I shop on ebay. I really enjoy working on this project.

Hi Josh,

Great work! I am looking forward to seeing the finished product as I will include this in an upcoming article for The Amusement Wire.

Keep up the great work!

I've had to make a few changes. the bricks weren't looking that great. So I cut each building off of the base and repainted them the color of the Mortar:

I then used a toothpick to paint the bricks:

There's still more to do.

^^Yeah, that's why I chose to do the Ticket booths first. They are like my "trial and error". I've already had to repaint them three times before I got the final product. I'm still painting the other two buildings.
