During the WWU, I slipped away from everyone to speak with Mike, John, and Steve. Yes, they will display it. The plan is to deliver it on Media Day in March.

I still have some work to do on the windows (there's a small roof over each one). Then I will start on the roof of each building, add the overhead cross beams, attach the flags, paint the concrete, and it will be done.

Despite me having never been to Carowinds, I have to say, this is absolutely amazing! When I found out Carowinds was making a new entrance right after Cedar Point did in 2013 to help the new coasters at the front of the park "make a statement" right when you walk up, I was a little sad that Wonderland didn't get the same treatment when they built Leviathan. However, looking at how all the original stuff at both these parks was removed so no one else could see them except in photographs (and still missing our large Canada flag that had to removed because of Leviathan), I do feel a bit of relief knowing that the history is still there at my home park. I know that's what you're trying to preserve for Carowinds through this model, and I really can't express my gratitude for your dedication to such a project. Thank you for keeping the memories alive, and helping to share those historic beginnings with people like me who could never experience them.

Okay. This is what I got done today:

Tomorrow I will add the wood rails to the other two buildings. Then the rest of the construction schedule will go as follows:
1) sculpt the AC units from clay and attach them (one per building).
2) build up the concrete path around the buildings.
3) sculpt the gutter drain pipe from clay and attach one to the rear of each building.
4) construct the wooden pergola-like beams that are in between the buildings from cardstock. The columns that support them will be made from clay.
5) final details like adding the 12 "Carowinds" flags (4 on each building). Then on the sides of each building there are two small ironwork details (used to hold a small basket plant). I will use thin metal wire to make those. I will also make the small blue "Tickets" sign that is in front of each building underneath the wood rails.
Then I should be done!

Well, with the Ticket Booths anyway...

Per request. I was planning to get more done today, but oh well...

Tomorrow, I will do paint touch-ups, then I will make the AC units.
