Michael Jackon sold his house, as well as Neverland awhile back. Maybe a few months ago. I dont know who bought it, or if the house is still on the market. I dont think he rebuilt his neverland at his new place either.........who knows!!!

Looks like someone is getting their panties in a wad. Maybe you need to click start and shut your computer down and find something else to do till you have got your blood pressure down to normal. No need to make any crazy mistakes and say something that might not be good for you.

No offense to you but I do not really care that you do not enjoy what the park has done to what some call historical rides in the past. If you are that passionate then why do you go to the park? I do agree that it does suck that some of the rides that are or seemed to be one of a kind have been took out, but I think some people might call it progress. Let's remember that new attractions bring in more people which means that is more money that the park makes. And we all know that more it makes then the more money that will be put back into the park. Think that might be Enough said but not this trip around.


Now I am not going to get in some urinating contest or some pity *ss Cat Fight with someone on a Message Board since it does not take much balls (so to speak) to fight with some stranger on the net. If you want to chat then by all means send me a private msg and I will get back with you when I have the time. Maybe we can even sit down for a chat at C3 and chat about tact?

Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags New England both have modern versions of the haunted swing, named Houdini's Great Escape, and manufactured by Zamperla (and quite costly).  I rode both of them last week and they were really fun.  I'm not sure if I'd really consider Blackbeard's Revenge to be a Haunted Swing though, although it's an extremely similar concept.

I'd like to ride one of those. Do the riders sit in a theater style seating? The one at Drayton Manor has stadium style seating. It uses the same concept as BR but in this one the seats actually move. Do the seats on Houdini's Great Escape move? I looked on the <a href='http://www.zamperla.it/' target='_blank'>Zamperla</a> website but couldn't find any mention of it.

^ Yeah, there are a few rows of seats on each side of the room with stadium style seating, and the part of the room that the seats are attached to moves independent of the motion of the walls around it. It's a really cool effect, and it was still convincing even on the third ride.

It's obvious we are grabbing at straws now. If we are resorting to firsts in themed rides then this topic could may be worthy of continuing.

Carowinds was the first to have powder keg designed boats for a flume, Carowinds was the first to have Jalopy themed motor cars....first to have a racing coaster to cross state lines........

First Paramount park to have 2 Intamin's, 2 Arrow's, 2 Vekoma's, 2 B&M's, 2 PTC's....

Im going out on the limb and saying the first park to feature a flume with a roller coaster style drop. Because the topic isnt ready to end yet, I think the people who are currently and actively posting in it can make that rash decision..........

Interactive Sally Dark rides like Scooby's Haunted Mansion were in parks several years before Carowinds. Family Kingdom & Indiana Beach are 2 off the top of my head.

You may be correct on the flume drop. Kennywood's was built in 1975. They fortunately still have their original coaster style drop.

We were also the first and only Paramounts Park to have a monorail, and a sky lift type ride. I forgot what it was called, but DLR, and WDW had it. I wish they never took out their monorail. It close before I ever got to ride it. OH WELL...........
