Question:

Will the food from the WWU be available at the park year round, or only during Taste of the Carolinas? I really want those pulled pork spring rolls!

I think that some of it will be available year-round. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

^ I think you're really getting on everyone's nerves.

Also unrelated to the topic of Taste of the Carolinas, but a helpful hint in general to those willing to accept constructive criticism..

Pretty cool system right?

Thank you Jay for the links to what they did last year at BGW. Sounds to me like our Festival at Carowinds will be very similar. Can't wait to try out all that food.

I emailed Carowinds, Taste of the Carolinas will not be covered by the dining plan.

Run y'all...here come the complainers next....lol (Not talking about you Jarvis.) I knew they wouldn't include in such a pass. It's not done at other parks I've been to with similar events. They may offer a discount at best, and if not that perhaps a pay one price for a # of samples...but don't hold your breath.

Yeah, I don't think most of us even considered that it would be included. The one thing Krzystof (follow him at @carowindschef on Twitter) said was that some of the food form Taste of the Carolinas would make its way to their regular menus which will be included with the dining plan. I clarify that with *should* since we know with all these changes they're still scrambling to get all the details worked out.

I'm still exited for the rest of the new food included in the dining plan, since they are re doing the whole menu.

They have started updating info for this on the site. They now have info about cost, menu, breweries (YEA) and wineries. One of the breweries is from right around the corner from me in Lancaster. Excited to see them listed.

It is shaping up to be a fun few weeks during the Taste of Carolinas!

I noticed the shrimp and grits made on to the menu in the BBQ section of Harmony Hall...if only they could bring those oysters out they had at media day. lol
