There were three shows today all about roller coasters and thrill parks (from 4 to 8 pm.) Rebel Yell (Thunder Roads twin coaster) was talked about. Its amazing at how alike they are. It also mentioned Carowinds sister park Kings Dominion, and talked alot about the launch coaster there. I forgot the name but it was somwthing like Hypersonic something, the one that lauched you straight up and straight down. It also had a long segment on Volcano. These I just mentioned were in two seperate shows with the sames name, something like Ulitmate Thrills. I didn't get to see the last show that was the Worlds Best about thrill parks, but I'm sure that Carowinds was not in that show, too bad though, I've always wanted to see Carowinds in one of these shows. Maybe we will be one of these days!

those were all on the Travel Channel, btw. They originally aired in August 2003 so they were pretty current. I saw bits and pieces of them today. Very well done show. The TV Guide doesn't mention any future airing dates unfortunately.

^Grrr that stinks, man they should change the Travel Channel to the "Las Vegas And Hotels" channel. that's mostly what's on.

Hey anybody remember what they did last summer?? I forgot what is was called but I think it was every Tuesday night for like a month they'd have one or two shows on coasters.

Discovery Channel filmed a show w/TopGun earlier this year before the park opened. It has to to w/coaster phobia. I think it's suppose to air in the fall.

Lol! That gets so annoying after a while. A few years ago they actually had shows on about travel, not just about poker. I don't watch it as much now.

If you want something different, check out the Food Network. I've seen several specials on there about amusement park food, etc. There was one about some reps from Knoebels down at IAAPA trying out different things. I remember one about different parks and their resturants. They may not feature coasters but they were really enjoyable.

FN also had a show on about Dippin' Dots and how they had caught on at amusement parks and malls. It was pretty interesting, but it made me hungry. Almost every show on that channel makes me hungry. :rolleyes:

This makes me really mad. This is my second time typing this. I posted my reply, and it took forever, and then I went to see if it posted and it didn't. Oh, well. I'll have to watch out for that show because most likely I'll miss it with school, school sports, other shows (for it'll be the new season) and other things going on. Hopefullly this post will show up!

Locodriver says that its supposed to air sometime this fall. I hope that it does, because alot of times they can make a show and never air. Just watch out for it, or, you can go to the website and look for it, and it should tell you ehen its going to air. As a matter of fact, thats what I'm fixing to go do!
