General Carowinds discussion

If you could add a new section to the park, what would it be. Be sure to include the name, place, and rides that will be in there. Name the rides, and describe the theming that will be put in place there. Also, be sure to have at least one main attraction that "hosts" that section of the park (example: Thunder Road would be a host for the Country Fair area.) Have fun and be descriptive, creative, and most of all, use your imagination! :D

Where to start...I'd love to add another Carolina themed area to the park, but I'd also like to add a movie themed area similar to what is at Universal Studios. I'll go with the last one since Carowinds is a "movie park" now.

ALERT: The following contains wishful and unrealistic thinking.

Name: Paramount Studios
Place: In the area that the maintenance warehouses currently occupy. The warehouses and storage facilities are moved over to the closed Frog Creek campground. The service road is also moved over to the far side of the campground. Space Picture

Layout: Paramount Studios will be laid-out in a “T” shape. The primary entrance under a giant Paramount Arch will be located across from the Flying Super Saturater. This will be the bottom of the T. This street looks like an old Movie Studio from Hollywood’s golden Age, with antique cars lined along the walkways and streetmosphere characters like Marilyn Monroe and The Adams Family(Paramount Street). At the fork in the T layout, the street leading to the right looks like 1930s Hollywood(Hollywood Boulevard). The street to the left looks like 1930s New York (5th Street). Hollywood Boulevard leads to Thrill Zone, 5th avenue leads to WaterWorks. At the Fork in the T, a large Paramount Water Tower will stand.

Major Rides:

Anchor Ride--Raiders of the Lost Ark Indoor Roller Coaster (similar to RotM)The Ark of the Covenet is about to be opened again in a New York archeological museum, and guests must escape it’s wrath. (Yes, there could be a better storyline) Located on 5th street.

Paramount Movie Magic Tram Tour (Guests ride on trams through various Special Effects demonstrations, such as Oil Truck Explosions, Flash floods, and a building where they will witness a large (semi-truck size) model of the Titanic being sunk, to demonstrate how large models were heavily used during the making of Titanic. Also indoors, Trams will drive by recreations of the Bates Motel and Camp Crystal Lake). Located on Hollywood Boulevard

The Italian Job Ride Same as on survey. Located on Hollywood Boulevard.

There will also be a Stunt Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, a café, and several movie themed shops.

I'd probaly do a backwoods Carolina theme. Have a new rapids ride thats better than the one at Dollywood that is the best one I've ever riden. And have this coaster that I made up in this topic. (just look for mine, its somewhere in there.) Probaly have some neat flat rides, and have the section themed all about backwoods Carolina.
