Will Fury 325 be open on opening day? Also, is there going to be a media day? This is our first time to Carowinds any suggestions, we are staying 3 days. Thanks, Bob

Welcome! We've had a mild winter to date and it if stays that way, they plan to have Fury 325 open on opening day, 3/28. If all goes as expected media day will be on 3/25.

They're going to be close either way, but barring any apocalyptic snow fall, I think they will meet their schedule. Once testing begins, we should have a better idea.

Thanks for info. Can't wait to see park. We go to Cedar Point all the time. Everybody should try and get up there amazing park!!

Funny you say that. I grew up going to Geauga Lake and Cedar Point until I moved away in 1987. When I returned to CP in 2011, I found that it lost much of the charm that it had when I was growing up. It was always a thrill park but still had some charm. Geauga Lake was actually a better park than CP. I say this only to draw a comparison to Carowinds.

I've only been going to Carowinds since 2000. I can, however, see how many people who grew up with the park are disappointed in some changes over the years that don't bother me at all as I can draw the correlation to my experience with CP.

I do think (and hope) that they are trying to bring some charm back to Carowinds and hopefully they can bring some of that back to Cedar Point, also.
