I think the flags will be going back in starting with the nc/sc flags, the U.S. flags, the county flags, then the Carowinds flags. There seems to be a row of them going down the entrance. I still the think the NC/SC flags will go on top of the front gate.

I think the places are just planters for trees or greenery of some kind. The plans show that is what they are being called, and also say the flags will go back to where they originally were -and the park has even confirmed that. So if I understand what you are saying, I disagree.

Off topic just a #TB pic. Though I wasn't thought of yet during white lighting days I do, however remember my visits down South at Carowinds and water was everywhere, the location of screamweaver and the hot air ballon ride. K carry on!

Won't be long before SlingShot starts shooting riders over 300ft in the air at speeds up to 60mph! #SlingShotEngage

Anyone know if we are going to be able to stand right next to Vortex's loop this year? It was one of the few places in the park where you could get directly next to the track.

I would think so. Before, it was just asphalt, but I think that they will place brick pavers there and we will get to go back to the loop.

I wouldn't think so seeing as the tour at Winter Warm Up had that entire area torn up.

^^Unless they had to tear it all up to re-rout some old pipes or remove them entirely. We did see old pipes lying around. Also, there are brick pavers supposed to go in front of the sling shot. Don't hold me to this, but I have a feeling that we will still get to walk up to the fence. But then again, I don't know how the hydraulics will work for the ride also I don't know how much space will be needed behind the ride. We'll know eventually right? As far as I know, there will be new planters there, and the Vortex plaza (I think) will be refurbished to a degree.

I hope they let people get close to the loop, I too liked being right next to the track and taking pics or whatever.

Looks like they're marking off the "state line". Is it me or does the last planter on the gate side of the bridge look bigger than the others?
