I'll be there the day after. I would do it if I could be there a day earlier. My significant other works for the school system and their last day to work is the 5th. We have a nephew graduating on the 5th and party on the 6th so I don't see making that 7 hour drive the next day to make it in time after all that. Coming up on the 8th is already pushing it, but we are trying to be there before CMS is out for summer.

It's awesome to see an increasing interest! For those who don't know, you have to raise $75 in order to participate after your $25 entry fee. The entry fee covers the great shirt you get. Then you get to ride coasters all day and get a free lunch. What Carowinds has done in the past is essentially use the shirt as a 'fast pass' while they take us around to the coasters that they have included with the event.

In case you didn't know, Give Kids The World is a charity that runs a 'village' in Orlando. Children with life threatening illnesses and their families get to stay at the camp free for a week. This also usually includes a free trip for the family to Disney or Universal Studios. The money we raise helps GKTW provide this free service including meals. Everything is free to the families. They even have an ice cream bar that is open all day. The most important aspect is that it helps give the kids and families a break from the hardship that they are going through.

I'm hoping to participate this year, but it might be difficult. We are participating in a coaster marathon for CHOA at SFOG that is tentatively scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2015, and I am expecting to participate in a potential coaster fundraiser on May 22. Also, I am looking to participate in the first rider auction too, so, if I can squeeze it into the schedule, I'm game! That is a lot of fundraising in a short period of time, but good causes deserve good effort!

Also, I plan to touch base with the rest of the CoasterAddict.com team and see who else is game. Many are ACE members, and others are considering joining ACE and other coaster clubs!

Since I've got a little more notice this year, I (and possibly my kids) would love to participate. We are local, so getting there is not an issue.

The agency I work for donates to GKTW frequently, and I am very familiar with the types of accommodations and trips they arrange for deserving families, so that is an organization that I fully support.

I'll be watching for further details!

I remember seeing an itinerary out there for this year's event - some about Fury for an hour in the morning and then more time on other coasters. Does anybody have the link to the proposed itinerary? I did not see it linked on the Carowinds Coasting for Kids page just yet.

Coasting For Kids is right around the corner and it looks like there will be more participants than usual, thanks to Fury 325.

If you haven't registered and want to participate, you have to raise $75 by 6/1/2015. If you are registered and haven't raised enough money, yet, send me a link to your donation page and I will donate $25 to help.

Give Kids The World is a great charity and I hope you consider participating.

Have fun today, guys! Unfortunately I'm not a part of this event, but I am heading to the park now.. So if there is anyone there from here I may finally introduce myself if there is any opportunity. :D
