General Carowinds discussion
#71016
I'm relatively new to the site and do not post much, but I really enjoy reading the new posts every day.

Have you guys ever talked about something to easily recognize CC members in the park? Some of you know each other from events and group gatherings, but I'm sure there are plenty that go often and just don't communicate with everyone or attend events.

I was looking at silicone wrist bands online. If someone wanted to take the initiative and time, you could order a batch and sell them to members. Everyone could wear them when they go to the park and even those who are too busy to communicate often in the forum or just socially shy could have a little pride when seeing another wristband in the park.

I made up a test order with teal wristbands and Lime Green text saying "Carowinds Connection". I don't know how many would be needed, but I did an order with 300 (200+100 Free) and it was about $100 (This is for the message on 2 opposite sides of the band). You could sell them for $1 each and cover an envelope and stamp to ship. Or if one wanted to make some cash for their time it could be $2 each.

Thoughts? Ideas? You guys have already done something like this and I don't know?

I was trying to commemorate Fury 325 with the colors.

Ohhh.. I see it now!

I personally wouldn't wear one. One, and I mean no offense, but I don't necessarily want to run into people from the site that I don't know. Two, I'm not going to be that weird person going around the park checking everyone's wrist.

Besides, if I want to meet up with people, I use the PM function on here. Or text them.

The OP asked for thoughts and opinions. The people saying they wouldn't wear them are just giving their thoughts and/or opinions. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe these are a generational thing? The people who are replying "yes!!!" seem to be our younger members and the people saying it's not their thing seem to be the ones that could legally drink. Just an observation...

Aron, maybe you missed the part where the OP asked for thoughts on the idea. And since someone would have to pay the upfront cost of buying then reselling them, I personally wouldn't buy one, and don't think its a great idea.
