Never been on opening day but thinking about it this year for obvious reasons(bet you cant guess lol). So what are they usually like when a new ride opens? Is it pretty much extreme crowds? Maybe i will wait a few days. I'm kinda looking forward to hearing the reactions on here before i ride.

The lines should be no longer than 30 minutes on the Beemers. Remember, Carowinds opening day is not KI/CP lines.

One of the longest lines on opening day is usually the Season Pass line. Haha. You can always go to the campground lodge and get your pass made early.

The only opening day I can really remember being super busy was the first two season for Intimidator.

But it never had really bad waits. 3 trains moves the folks through.

The worst opening day lines ever were for Borg (Nighthawk). 1 train most of the time made for a super long wait.

SCarowinds always was much worse on lines when I worked out there than regular days.

It will be interesting though to see if Fury throws that all out the window.

Nighthawk's line has been consistently 30-60 minutes since it was put in, if Fury can shift that to a shorter line, I may start riding Nighthawk more often.

On opening day for 2010, I went straight to Intimidator and rode it with about a 45 minute wait.... I expect that Fury's line on opening day will be about the same (maybe a little longer).

But this year they are opening one of the tallest and fastest coaster in the world. That will bring people in that normally would not come say opening weekend but the chance to ride Fury on opening weekend should and will pack the crowd in. It might be great if you want to ride the other coasters in the park since Fury will draw the crowds. But hey what do I know for I could be wrong?

So question, if I go to season pass night, do I need to have my pass already processed, or can I get it processed at the park?

I'm pretty sure you can have it processed that night. However it would probably be best to do so before if you are able to so as to avoid waiting when you get there. Then you can just walk right in.

I wouldn't be suprised if season pass night is more crowded than opening day. In fact, I fully expect it.
