Right now that is the rumor based on an interview that Jerry gave. There is nothing official from the park, yet.

I just received the official announcement about Friday, 3/27.

Carowinds will open a day early for a private, Season Pass Holder preview event.

The event will be from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 27, the night before the park officially opens to the public for the 2015 season. This special preview event gives 2015 Season Pass Holders a chance to be one of the first to ride the park’s newest thrill ride, Fury 325, the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster. Park goers will also get to enjoy all the other rides, including the new upcharge attraction, SlingShot, which catapults riders nearly 300-feet high. Music from live DJs, prize giveaways and other activities will take place throughout the park.
