Funny about the music as I was thinking the other day that. IMO, it would be pretty cool on opening day to do a little special treat before letting in the guests.

As every one will be waiting before the rope drops have the Original Carowinds song start playing and about half way through kick it into a new updated Theme Song when the rope drops.

Since Carowinds is moving forward for the years to come I think the tunes should move forward also. Just my opinion.

Isn't it something that we live in a world where you can simply tweet at a park GM and have him act on your request?

Here's what I think will happen with the trees.
In the plaza, of course, new trees MUST be added in the planters. The planters are designed for the tree's roots to grow down and around so as to not mess with the pavers above ground. The magnolias and other old trees will be transferred to the area surrounding the new entrance plaza. So obviously, it will take several years for the trees within the plaza itself to fully develop to anywhere near the size of the current magnolias.
this is just my observation. But the area surrounding the entrance will be buzzing with trees, and perhaps even some bees might find their home there.

the entrance plaza will still be very nice, but the trees won't be as large as they were in the animation, at least not for another 15 years or so.

Hmmm I don't know how I feel about the two spikes on top of the gate. They look like the back upper tail wing of a jetliner or better yet the dorsal fin of a shark.
