The tribute was kind of short, a series of heroic images from 9/11
along with meaningful quotes to read, then they played "God Bless the USA"
(I admit, my eyes welled up) while all along the wax figures of the firemen
raising the flag were in the middle dramatically lit. At the end, they invited
the audience to come on the stage to get a close look at the wax firemen.
I thought they looked so real and it was the first time my kids had ever
seen wax figures.
We also rode the carousel today (my kids didn't get their favorite horses-
my daughter rides Crystal, my son rides Goblin  ) and it made this
terrible squeaking sound. It hurt my ears. They need to oil it or something.
I'm not complaining about our carousel and I don't mean to sound ungrateful
because I know it is an antique and the horses really are pretty, but I wish
it was like the one in Dollywood where it goes fast and you have to grab the rings
from the outside horses and the person who gets the brass ring gets to ride again.
I loved that. We also rode Goldrusher and Scooby because the lines were
short and we have to child-swap with my son.
