For 2016 for Thunder Road I would like to see them turn it into a Mobius Coaster where you ride both sections on one ride (meaning there would be just one loading station). This would have the added benefit of making it the longest coaster in North America and the longest wooden coaster in the world. A really inexpensive way to get another world record coaster! It would hurt capacity however.

RollerBee wrote:^My thoughts too, Thunder Road will be 40 in 2016. Both Rebel Yell and Racer have walkways under it, plus didn't someone(more reliable source) here say that Carowinds has plans for Thunder Road's 40th anniversary?

I'm not so sure that they have "plans" for it necessarily, however, they said that it's something that they'll look at doing.
I mean, I think that they will because John and I spoke about it for a while and he liked all of the ideas we threw at each other. Also (if speculation is correct), they'll already be over at Thunder Road constructing, so why not? I'm thinking that they will do something for Thunder Road.

I know they put a sign up for the 30th anniversary for TR.

Don't worry Barbie, you don't have to tell me anything since you rarely know what you're talking about.

I'm not on here to down people or be rude. I'm only here to talk about the topics at hand. With that being said, I'm not about to get into it with Edwardo, Chris, or Rollerbee! I'm not about to belittle myself or stoop to your level. Before you try to talk sh** about someone, you might want to know who you're talking to! I'm not that person!!!

But you do seem to come on here every few months usually to brag about some insider info, which accomplishes nothing but getting the board all in a tizzy. Regardless if this information is ever valid, relevant (or allowed for that matter), it’s tiresome, childish, and I’d suggest that everyone simply ignore it and move on.

2017? Isn't that when they take out that slow-loading coaster and bring back the Sternwheeler?

Just curious.

^ Because we were told that it was going to be 100' taller than intimidator. They didn't say virtually when we were told.

I like the Iron Horse idea better.
But they are both pretty unlikely.

Highly doubt they would have spent probably $4 million or more rebuilding to just tear it down a few years later.
