Steve sent me this.
However, I just realized that there is a huge problem. I emailed him an incorrect length measurement. The base needs to be a few inches longer than what they have. Otherwise, my model will not fit. I've checked and rechecked my model layout and there is nothing I can change on my end. Those of you in construction know that a few inches can be a major problem. I hate for them to have to change it, but if not, then we will encounter some problems on Wednesday. I just hope that they haven't started on the case yet. I've just emailed him the correct length. But I feel bad about it and it's my mistake. Now I have to make them work twice as much and they've already got their hands full.
I'll know more in the morning on what we can do about this.

I know it isn't what you want to hear, but I think if you needed to, you could probably "condense" a bit in the center and it wouldn't be noticeable to most people. Or could you remove a bit on the far side of the bridge inside the park? Just a couple thoughts.

I hope it all works out and hopefully they can adjust the stand without too much hassle. I'm sure it will be resolved.

You have created such an amazing piece of art. A true labor of love.

You know, I was thinking about removing some space in front and behind that bridge. I'll know more though tomorrow on what they can do and/or what I can do about this.

EDIT: I realize how unattractive the white sides and blue duck tape is. I plan to add foam board to the sides and paint it grey.

Man, as much work and dedication you have taken to complete this project is astounding. I tip my hat to you young man for having a vision that most of us would not approach. Add to that the fact that Carowinds is going all out to build a case and put it on display is a testament of appreciation.
Hey, if everything always worked out perfectly it would be a boring life. Head up high, you have done yourself and everyone here a great justice.
