Is the Hurler a rollercoaster or a training ground for DJ wannabe's?

After todays experience I'm convinced that it's the latter of the two.

Here's what I saw......

50 cent was on the mic giving instructions to keep the hizzy off the jizzy (I mean to keep your arse off the rails) His partner Pdiddy was busy throwing signs and eventually checking every other passenger to see if they might be strapped in. Vanilla Ice was....well there was no Vanilla Ice! Thank God for that!

My point is that this really puts a bad taste in my mouth knowing that these Bone Thugs and Harmony were hired to run a roller coaster which in turn should entertain me and thousands more! Someone must have told them that they were hired to entertain us by imitating their favorite flava of the month!

CAN ANYONE SAY SIXFLAGS AMERICA....THAT'S WHERE I THOUGHT I WAS FOR A WHILE!

Okay, I'm done venting...I feel better now.

Some folks just can't resist showcasing their so-called "talent" when they have a microphone and a captive audience.......although I agree, the Hurler platform is not the most appropriate place to do this especially if it slows down dispatches.

It's like dodging those NBA wannabe's bouncin' those darn balls all over the place. Just once I'd like to grab one of those balls and toss it over a fence. When will parks learn to give these things away DEFLATED!?!

I guess it's safe for me to assume that this is the same crew that has 5 minute dispatches, and probably the same one that dispatched a train with a lap bar up.

I've also noticed how annoying the crew is at Hurler.

I can't believe management is letting them get away with it.

I think I might have to send in some "comments" . he he

You are correct. 5 minute dispatch was the norm yesterday.

I've noticed that too. It is just a weird place to practice DJing

i can see what everyone's feeling is for this but you have to see we still want to have fun on a safe matter and if freestyling on the mic will let us have fun then you should be ok with it. I sometimes have fun on the mic i do a little heart beat and look at everyone and some people actually begin to freak. Dont ask me why they are that slow in the dispatch times so i may find out later on and let everyone know.

Yeah, I mean I'm all for the operators having fun, just not slowing down the line. As a matter of fact, the more fun the ops are having, the more fun I'm usually having.

All I want to know is if you told a park official..........because if you didnt then its really no point in complaining and sterotyping those employees. (which is think is as shallow as their actions).

Well They are not suppose to be Freesyling it on the Mic. That is A BIG no no. Apparently Upper Management may not be aware of it. One time about 5 seasons ago I got in trouble for (May be spelled incorrectly) Deveating from the spiels. I was getting people excited about riding Vortex. Upper Management walked up on me and I ended up getting suspened for 3 days because of that incident. I was a Team Leader at the time.

It's Great to have fun I love having fun. When guests see you having fun then they have even more fun. I ending up doing the Same incident a couple weeks ago (July 4th Weekend) My Team Leader was cool with it because everyone was having fun and we were egtting the train in and out.

Overall IMO Freestyling on the Mic is unprofessional. If they are trying to ave fun they are going about it the wrong way. Someone defently needs to know about it.

What exactly is it about Six Flags America that is so bad that there are so many negative comments about it?

I was unaware that rappers were running the Hurler. Maybe I should get an autograph???

Thats the same thing I wanna know. Well I was gonna be able to find out next month but my friend (and I use that word very loosely) hasnt contacted me back about going (<span style='color:red'>U know who U are</span>).......................Oh well.

I just think some people go to theme parks looking for things to complain about. Not pointing any fingers at anyone here. I realize these are still kids and just because they dont "act" like us or the way we want them to doesnt make it wrong or bad. Bottom line, the way this thread was worded told me more than I thought about the person who started it.................

^ He's officially lost it. Anyway, I've been to Six Flags America twice, and enjoyed it tremendously each time. The operators are a little crappy, but it's really nothing that I noticed that much. That may have had something to do with the fact that the park was pretty dead both times I went, though, and we weren't really waiting in lines. I think it's a pretty good park though with a great collection of rides.

;) Boy, you have lost your mind. Who cares what the ride ops were doing it is The Hurler, no one rides it anyway. I ride in the front seat when I am down there, because Vortex's line is way to long.
Jon, what happened to correct spelling and grammer?
