General Carowinds discussion

In my opinion, Borg was an ok decision. Because of Borg, More people that dont live in the LOCAL AREA are flocking to Carowinds. Carowinds did a supurb job themeing the ride. Just walking through the coaster gives me that so called, "Feeling in my stomach." So even though Borg breaks down alot, atleast it's themed and looks like it's not going anywhere any time soon like Stealth did. On the down side, I personly think Top Gun is better. Borg was slow and rough on the edges.

I would vote for Greatest decision ever if only Carowinds got new trains. I think thats the main problem. I know some of you may say that borg doesnt need new trains, well they do!!!!!!! And if not new trains, then atleast a third one. When I was at Six Flags America, I noticed that Batwing had 3 trains. Now Whats up with that!!!!!!!!!

Funny, the tides have almost changed, ya'll welcomed Stealth and wanna it stay on the west coast, now ya'll have changed it up. We will have BORG for a while so get over it. Carowinds has the ride operating almost perfectly.

^^I think we all welcomed the fact that the park was getting a new (used) coaster. But yeh, it is funny how after riding it, ones opinion can quickly change.

What do ya'll think is so bad about BORG, it isn't rough. I have rode it four times, waiting normally for 45 minutes before the Single Rider Line was closed down because of line jumpers.

Well, I thought it was pretty rough compared to A B&M Flyer. And I also want to state that when I mean rough, I dont mean Hurler or Ninja rough. I simply mean "Not smooth"

EDIT: Never mind about this part, the post i was reffering to was deleted.

I also don't see why you guys hate this ride so much, the restraints wer very comfertable, it was really smooth(Yes I WAS sitting on the EDGE!), I don't know what the (Insert word here) ya'll are talking about!!!

I think Borg will be good for the long run but my peeve about this ride is where the straps are located i dont like the way they are positioned (i dont hold on to them anyways but i will sometimes just to see what the feeling is with holding on to them) i wish they would place them in another spot.

I personally feel that some people got annoyed after several internet coaster forums became stacked up with 5-6 topics dedicated to Borg's ***. General coaster forums became flooded with several Borg topics like "OMG U GUYZ HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU RIDDEN BORG?" or "HEY EVERYONE WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF BORG'S TRACK?"

If the fans of the ride had came to a Carowinds only forum(Like Carowinds Connection or CarowindsZone) to extensively discuss the ride, I don't think Borg would have such a "Who Cares" reputation.

So, a lot of the Borg's *** hate is not about the ride itself, it's just that everyone got so tired of reading about Borg Assimilator back in April and May that they became very annoyed with the ride and began to fire back.

Ok, I think I will shut up now. Thanks for giving credit to CZ being around.

Whew! I'm glad at least one person agrees with me.

d00d this is not TN.

Most people probably have no idea what you are talking about.

I voted Good decision. It could have been worse, much worse.

We could have had a launched kiddie floorless that goes 2mph. lol

I haven't but I hear it is good. I prefer the flying position better than the sitting down position.

^I second that RollerNut, Flyng is way more Exiting, I mean there are over 2000+ coasters(I don't care if RCDB says 1781, think of all the fairs in the world), and only 12 of them are flying!!!(well they're including Vekoma ones which are Technically lay downs)(do NOT comment me on that last sentance), i'll go with uniqeness.

Laydown, Flying.......Same thing. Your still going down the first drop head first.
