I hope one of you guys gets a chance to ask mike directly if there is any validity to the rumor. It would suck going the entire summer dealing with this rumor.

For this reason alone makes me wanna go pulverize it!

QQ: Are they still going to do the arbor vines on the trellis in the front plaza or was that just conceptual art? You know they could also put hanging potted flowers from the trellis well, that's rather southern don't you think?

Jarvis, are you communicating threats against a roller coaster? If so, I need to make a phone to the CPO.

I agree 100% Thunder Road is NOT going anywhere. I do believe there will be a waterpark expansion next year, and I am guessing the south gate will go bye bye... I agree that they wouldn't have re-tracked the entire ride if they were just going to demolish it, as we all know they have plans for many many years ahead already. Besides, there is already a service road that goes right under the coaster so I dont see why they wouldnt use that for a walkway.

Perhaps the rumor is being sensationalized a bit (like most news these days) and it actually means they will demolish a hole in TR to allow for a walkway to the new section of the water park.

I don't think that the south gate will go,didn't they just redo it?

The retracking of TR was set in place before the study's and Tax incentives from Charlotte. Ever heard don't let a nickel hd up a dollar? If they feel it needs to go. It well go. But for them to remove it. I would feel like the would almost have to triple the size of the water park.

Maybe they're 'virtually' tearing a hole in it, and barbie took that as demolition...

Go back and look at my post. I never named anything that is coming or leaving! I didn't say anything about thunder road. :silent: :shh:

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't Thunder Road now have 2 walkways through it? I searched on here but I swear Wormy or Jay took a picture of a new pathway under T.R. by the new slides.

Guys guys, maybe It's possible that carowinds will announce the removal of thunder road, but surprise everyone and transform it into a hybrid coaster like six flags transforming colossus into twisted colossus.

Edit: it appears that I accidently posted this in the wrong forum. It was supposed to go to the 2016 ride ideas with the thunder road subject.

There's your answer Mark thanks Jay! I was looking as well lol. For the record TR is not totally done because after that last hill on the return track it's a hell of a brain killer however I think I recall them saying be done with the refurb.
