Yikes, I'm not sure I want rain hitting my face when I'm traveling 95mph.

The latest forecast has the rain stopping by 1pm. The temperature between 5-10pm will drop from 53 to 45 degrees. So it should be dry...but chilly at 95MPH!

chknwing wrote:short review, Media Day was awesome. Shout out to Axel for letting me be his +1. Carowinds spared no expense for this event. Rolled out the red carpet, literally. The anticipation was insane. When they finally cut the ribbon, there were pyro effects, fireworks, confetti. It was a blast. Fury is now my #1 coaster. There is no comparison to MF or any other giga coaster. This coaster is non stop fast. It doesn't let up at all. So many head chopper moments. I guarentee you will duck past a few poles. When I got off I was interviewed by some lady wearing a green dress, no idea who this person was. I then headed over to Timmy and then on to the free food. OMG the food. There was so much and it was so good. After I couldnt fit anything else in my stomache, I headed back over for a few more rides on Fury. We were all given a free gift bag when we exited which had some nice stuff in it. I posted pics in the other thread.

Man you shut those juvenile clowns down on TPR, I salute you. I would have done it myself but I refuse to participate on that site. I'm careful about the company I keep.

It would not hurt that bad on your face!
My review:

The first drop provides about 2-3 seconds of airtime especially in the front seats
The first drop is very forceful and low to the ground.
The barrel turn was quick and whipped us into the next part of the ride.
The picture came at the perfect time.
You flew close to the ground and felt like you could touch the bystanders.
The 91* turnaround gave sideways airtime
In the back seat!
The trim on the airtime hill engaged 9/10 times but did NOT effect the ride experience and you still got plenty of floater and a bit of ejector airtime and the last three hills.
You side smoothly into the brakes and are ready for round two!

^ agree totally with your review! You get off and feel like you can ride it a lot of times in a row...

and yes, it hurt my balls coming down hard every time at the bottom of the first drop :)

I'm home, no voice and ready for a nap.

Shout out to FamousAmos...thanks bud! You provided me with an awesome day and seeing your model in person was awe inspiring. Can't wait to see it completed and inside Harmony Hall.

Coaster reviews? Ok....13 rides in and I hit almost every row. Riding the front seats is like a completely different coaster compared to the back seats. My favorite seat of the day was last row, seat 4. That is the last seat on the left. Incredible air time, both up and sideways. I also rode on seat 1 and 2 in the last row and was shocked at the difference in ride between them and #4. Wanna feel the fury, sit in the back and let the front of the coaster yank you over the top and down the first drop....it's SICKENING! (and I mean that in a good way)

Front seat really shows off the speed on this coaster. You feel every bit of the wind and it is like getting your face stuck in front of a leaf blower. I will be impressed with anyone that gets a pretty on-ride photo from the front. The 91degree turnaround and dive under the bridge is amazing from the front seat as far as views go.

I really don't have a bad thing to say about it. Every seat I rode in was amazingly smooth and provided it's own version of this ride.

I honestly can't think of anything else to say about it but if you have questions I can probably answer them. HAHA

I did ride with some great people during the day but not sure if they are on here or not. Bob and Mike were great to ride with and I rode with them a bunch. I'm sure they think I'm completely nuts because I would just giggle (or perhaps cackle is the better word) through the whole thing.

I yelled at Coasterbrah to join me on the last ride of the day, but they had already locked it down.

Ok....I'll let someone else talk now.

OMG media was out of this world thanks to Anthony for the +1. Fury325 is freaking everything it has more airtime than expected the gs are insane. I loved be whipped into each curve and the 91* sideways airtime was so unexpected. You got ejector airtime in the front rows and close to ejector more sustained floater airtime in the hills coming back and the head choppers are everywhere especially in the helix most of all the SPEED!!! It's def a different ride experience from intimidator so that can be squashed now. Now the food; if the serve that shrimp and oysters all season I'd be there everyday. Seafod became my fav living in Charleston for some years. All of the food was excellent can't wait to eat more it was so much of it. The live entertainers were wonderful as well. GOOD JOB CAROWINDS!! Here's Myself and coasterbruh's ride photo lol  Good seeing you Mark,Tawny, Amos the model looked great man, and Wormy

I just watched the reverse POV of Fury and I can't believe how FAST it is! I bet that video does the ride no justice to how fast the ride is. That drop actually makes me a bit nervous Lol. Great job Carowinds and B&M!
