I'm not sure I had the same question. However, I'm planning on being there at 4:30.

I was surprised by how many times I did come out of my seat and for how long I stayed out of it. That first drop I didn't touch the seat till i hit bottom. What I really liked were the unexpected airtimes. You know it's coming at the top of those hills, but some of the others are a really nice surprise.

As for what time to get there Friday, couldn't even begin to tell you. They aren't opening till 5 but it probably wouldn't hurt to be there early. If nothing else, get there early and chill out till they open the flood gates. You can get your new "Stateline" photos. :-)

I plan to be there around 4:00 (if all goes as planned). As soon as I get my daughter out of school at 3:00, we will pop home to drop off her stuff, grab her brother (who gets home earlier), hit up the QT for drinks and snacks, and head down. Coming from 40 minutes away, we decided we'd rather be there early, than risk hitting traffic and getting there late. Like you said, a good opportunity for some front gate pictures. :D

your daughter is lucky I don't get out of school until 4:15 so I will probably be there at about 5:00 :(

Lockers are a dollar...1 dollar per hour with a minimum of 2 hours rental. Anyone who still complains about that...well...I just don't know what to say.

-great day had a blast.
-fury is an amazing ride and well engineered.
-expect assigned seats
-i don't think I wanna experience the last three hills WITHOUT the trims!
-slingshot blends in and you can still get close to vortex
-is intimidator still in the park???
-the food!
-im willing to purchase those lavender and something ones!
-i missed axel? Would have loved to have met him...

^^ don't we all... but it might have been just for Media day (I hope)... since the media were taking the fast pass lane to the front of at least some of the trains... they also had a go-pro mounted on the back of a front row seat taking pics of the 2nd row... again probably for the media. Even today, the employee assigning you to seats let folks wait for the back row... and the Carowinds Connection large gang were allowed to wait for the front...

^ I haven't seen any independent measures taken of speed or Gs... will be interesting to say the least. It would be nice to know that information for each section of the track. There must be devices someone could take on the train to measure that continuously?

Nope, they have on the video loop that you see waiting in line "seating requests cannot be accommodated, please proceed directly to the seat your are assigned" or something like that. I'm sure that on slow days they will be willing to work with you, but if it's over an hour wait, you get what you get.
