General Carowinds discussion

I have a quick question about tomorrow. Obviously, a majority of the folks attending the preview night will rush to Fury. Will the park halt anyone that is running after the gates open? I would believe so, but just making sure. Secondly, will tomorrow function as a normal day would? Free drinks for souvenir cups, the dining plan, all rides, and things alike?

I can't answer anything other than the park doesn't allow people to Run in the park. So that would look bad if anyone did and they represent this site.

It was my understanding that all of the rides (or at least most of them) will be running tomorrow night.

I see no point in running to Fury as soon as the gates open. That's how injuries happen. I'd like to make it there in one piece so I can enjoy it. If it means I have to wait a little longer to get on, then so be it.

Disney has actually had Cast Members walk the guests behind a rope to the major attractions upon rope drop...I wonder if Carowinds will do something similar?

From what I know, all rides will be open. This night will also serve as "preparation" for Saturday night. Steve told me yesterday that the park is expecting anywhere between 30,000 to 40,000 people on Saturday. I don't know if this will hold true, but the season pass preview will be great to prep any new park employees.

Not in an empty train. It was definitely faster Wednesday afternoon with a full train than it was Tuesday night and Wednesday it didn't break any kind of speed thing.

Why, thank you! :D
tylerSC wrote: This story aired on WCNC Channel 36 6pm news. (NBC-Charlotte). But does pose a question, did they add seat belts on Fury like Intimidator? And does Leviathan have seat belts?

Fury 325 does have seat belts. As of November, 2014, Leviathan does not have seat belts. Behemoth did since May, which was weird. Hopefully it stays that way on Leviathan, because the seat belt is completely pointless.

It's not going to stay that way, though, is it....  :x

It would look bad if they represent this site but who's going to know if they do or not. Unless they are well known on this site but you have to remember this is not a private event more than just cc members have season passes.

Fury's seats have a molded area for the seat belts, it isn't an afterthought like on Intimidator. If anyone has a pic of the test seat at the head of the line it doesn't have a belt attached so the molded area is very visible.
