This will be the first year I have bought a pass in a few years so what will I have to do when I get to the park on opening day? I'm assuming I need to get there early and they will be processing them at the new building outside the gate?

If you are planning on getting gold pass (or platinum). I'd buy the passes online. You'll get vouchers to print out. You take those vouchers and those are your "tickets" to get you in. That should save you cost of parking (because it is free for gold pass holders).

And then you can go the season ticket building at any point during the day, with your voucher, they'll scan it and take your picture and give you your card (you shouldn't need to stand in lines to purchase anything when you get there on that day).

Somebody else probably knows this for sure, but I believe the season ticket building is not actually new, it's the same one.

I'd make a phone call to Carowinds and ask. I bought my passes online, back in October (and got them processed on my free visit Halloween night). This is how it worked for me. I don't know how or why anything would change from that (but they could). I'd call them and ask.

I know this is a stupid question but how do you get in? I went by the main entrance and it was blocked off before the toll plaza section. I think I've seen an entrance marked as "Employees/Deliveries"--do you have to use that one?

Yes, you have to use the "employee/deliveries" entrance. There will be signage there directing you where to park.

Is the campground thing open on weekends for season pass processing? Also, this is the first year that I have bought a Platinum Pass, but does anyone know if I get Gold Pass privileges at other parks too?

Just to be clear, during construction the season pass entrance is near the Thunder Road turn around. It is NOT the employee Entrance, it is before that. In fact, it's the same entrance we used for Winter Warm Up.

Yes, Platinum is essentially Gold for all parks.

Season Pass Bring a Friend Pricing is valid for all pass types (Silver, Gold, Platinum). All Bring A Friend discounts are valid for up to six (6) friends per Passholder per day.

This may have been answered before but here goes. I am looking to get 3 season passes for me, my wife and daughter. If we're not planning on doing SCarowinds, would it not be better to get 2 silvers and 1 gold?

Since I'm always the one paying at the park and driving to the park, I would get the discounts and free parking and they wouldn't have to pay the "Gold" price up front. Does that sound like a plan? Any drawbacks to that?

Sounds good to me. That's what we are planning to do this time. We usually buy 7 Gold passes, but we're not planning to go to Scarowinds this year and we don't do Dinosaurs so I don't really see the need for all Gold. I may buy 2 Gold just for the parking in case we have friends come along (no room in our vehicle) then one of us can ride with them so they don't have to pay for parking. Husband says no, they can pay their own parking, lol....but we will see. Fury 325 early ride times are supposed to be for all season pass holders to my understanding, so that seals the deal for me!

DINOSAURS ALIVE!!!

I kid.

There seems to be 3 things that gold gets you over Silver:
-Free parking
-Scarowinds admission
-Free Dinosaurs

I agree with you, if you aren't going to Scarowinds and you'll always be there with your gold card for parking, there doesn't seem be be any reason to get 3 gold passes.

Ok. I'm sure I missed it somewhere. I've printed my one gold and 2 silver season pass vouchers and am ready to pile in the car on Monday morning and get up there.

But, where do I find the info on what rides are open early for pass holders and what times those actually are. No where on the season pass page can I find it (or I may be overlooking it). I want to be at the park gate when it opens for pass-holders.
