Yes I like the new Plaza but I still miss the Plantation House. Down the road I would like to see the gift shop expand and take over the locker area and the locker area move across the bridge to where Upgrade Services and Plaza Gifts. Anyone have thoughts as to why the lockers have always been across the bridge?
I fall into the group that did not want to see the plantation house go under any circumstance but now can't imagine going back to it. The new entrance is nothing short of phenomenal.

Anyone else notice Carolina Cyclone has been partially repainted? The airhill and turning hill after the corkscrews have a new coat along with the corkscrews themselves.

It looks a lot better without those black spots on the track, especially now that this area will have higher traffic. You can really see how much the paint has faded on the first drop. Now if only they would paint Intimidator.. Its looking pretty pink nowadays.
I caught the magic show in Harmony Hall yesterday. It was ok. Definitely beginner magic and geared toward the young kids.
Also caught a band outside Harmony Hall which was really good playing lots of classic Rock songs. The Panthers Purrcussion drumline was back as well as Sir Purr. I am looking forward to seeing the other entertainment options this season.
My family all loved the new entrance. It is much easier to get in and out of the park. My son loved being so close to Fury before we even get into the park. Even though it seemed there were more people there at opening weekend than usual, it didn't feel cramped with the nice open paths and big open plaza.
I think this is my fourth opening year in a row (plus others before I skipped a year), and of course it was the busiest. Honestly, I was ready to eat massive amounts of crow over Fury's line, but 90 minutes on SP Preview nite, around 2 hours on Saturday is expected for any large new ride. And the rest of the park seemed pretty dead whilst I was there.
It is promising that there was no wait times today .
I'm the only one that probably pay attention to these things but did anyone else notice the state flags around the park that let's you know what state you're in? Nice little touch there
I didn't notice it until we were walking on the midway that goes between the lake and Nighthawk. But after that, I kept my eye out for the other flags.
A little off topic, but I haven't seen any pictures of Jerry Helms lately nor did I see him opening night. Just seems odd to me, I almost always happen across him while visiting the park.
