Why do you say I have never raced? Trust me, I have a feeling I have been involved in more races here than you or anyone on this board. Now I'm not trying to commit a falicy statement by saying that, it's just I have been involved with it for years. I know the thrill and excitment, esp. when you win. But racing coasters? Come on. I'm not saying I don't like it. But I mean the excitment you get when you "win" a race on Thunder Road doesn't nearly match what you get if you do it by yourself i.e...in track or motor sports. marathon or whatever. So please, do not make falicy by saying I have never raced because you are certainly wrong about that.

Sorry CMT, I was not trying to imply YOU have never raced. Did not mean to come off that way and you probably have raced alot more than me for sure.

What I was trying to say is that in the last 4 years of riding Thunder Road at least 6 times bi-weekly I can count on 2 fingers how many times I've raced.
The excitement of racing is mainly going up the hill teasing the other train and going down the first half of the track neck to neck and looking at everyone’s faces.

Not everyone cares if we race or not and I understand that but the history of Thunder Road is that of racing. It just adds a bit more excitement to the ride.

I have never been to King's Island or King's Dominion and not raced on their versions which is why it ticks me off Carowinds just can't seem to do it every time. I see it race when I am on Top Gun or in line but never when I sit down.

I need to take you Foreseer to ohio with me this summer. My stupid cousin thinks that just because it does not get his stomach that it is a baby coaster and wont ride it. Needless to say I dont get to ride it but maybe once while I am up there just because of him. I beg you come with me I will take you to Cedar Point aswell :D .

I am planning a trip to King's Island, King's Dominion, Bush Gardens Williamsburg, Disney World, Islands of Adventure, and Dollywood. Not sure of exact dates but this will happen before Summer is over.

Hey, just grab him by the belt loop and drag his arse on the ride. Make him sit on the side that will be closest to the other train so they can poke fun at him all the way up the lift hill. Once you've enjoyed a great race riding it on a non raceing track is never the same.

It's so annoying that TR doesn't race any more. I think it's just lazy ride ops

Just a FYI, Rebel Yell wasn't racing when I was at Kings Dominion yesterday. Probably had something to do with the fact that only one backwards train was on the track and two forwards trains, though.

I've noticed that lately they have been racing Thunder Road more consistently now. Last night when I was there I asked why they had a sudden interest in racing and the op said that it was for guest satisfaction. I spent nearly an hour marathoning it just like old times. I had a good time although the trains never really met up at the lift like I wanted them to.

I'm sure the surveys helped a lot too.

At SFGA on American Eagle (which just so happens to be the best wooden racer ever) they were racing the trains sooo consistantly, that they stopped the other track for a 5 minute hold-up one side. IJt was great to race though, kool going through that helix...

This is sorta off topic, but Dukies #1, did Big Bad Wolf really fall into the Rhine River? I didn't even know that they were going to move it to Tampa Bay. I always wanted to go ride it becuase I have never riden a suspended coaster where the cars swung from side to side. Its a shame to see it go. I was hoping that they would keep it untill i could go up there one of these years.

EDIT: OMG. I am so gullible because that link in Dukies #1 signature is fake. It doesn't take you to rcdb, but to a phony site. I figured this out becuase I went to the real RCDB, and under Big Bad Wolf, it says its still operating and has nothing about it falling into the river. I also went to the official website, and it is still operating. That link in the sig takes you to Nicks Installation something .com. I also typed in Top Gun to see if it was the real site, and it comes back file removed. So Big Bad Wolf is still in operation!

Take a look at the link url, it isn't RCDB. No, BBW didn't fall into the river unless RCDB hasn't been update, I believe it is someone's joke.

Yep, it is a joke becuase I just said that in my edit. You must have posted yours while i was typing mine. Ok, now back to topic!
