first off, i MAY have met some of y'all yesterday. if you're reading this and were part of a group of 3 teenage guys or 3 girls + mom, awesome chatting lol.
couldn't have asked for better weather on my initial fury rides... high 60s, sunny, blue skies. the coaster was a walk-on for the better part of the day, otherwise a 5-minute wait tops. fury's indeed a people-eater even on 2-train operation. heavy days the exception, i could easily see just a 1-hour wait on full operation with full queue to the entrance. thus far, haven't been granted the ability to choose a seat to my liking; my experience as of now is limited to rows 3 and 5.
the drop is a proper, ideal drop... perfect steepness, perfect length, perfect force. it is immeasurably more satisfying than timmy's, regardless of seat. you're actually
off your seat, catching air for a solid few seconds.
the barrel turn is very fluid and taken very fast. (glad b&m "curved" ours with far more exaggeration than leviathan's.)
the s-curve run of the ride is enjoyably snappy and forceful, again taken very fast. perfect speed maintained. each moment packs a punch, including
the bridge flyover.
the horseshoe is very forceful, and atop the turn there is indeed a strong, odd kind of airtime that is surprisingly sustained heading into
the underground dive. b&m was spot-on calling it a
weightless drop. (regarding our "tunnel" i wonder if the remaining hexagons just simply haven't had their LED light strips attached yet... seems incomplete what with only the initial one illuminated.) the subsequent banked curve is snappy though forgettable, and the straightaway it flows into might have benefited from a double-down or something in that vain. however, this straightaway very well allows anyone still yet to relax a quick breather.
the camelback is
flojector gold. perfectly executed despite the trim.
the double helix is also well executed, taken at just the right speed. gracefully forceful. the headchopper support gets every first-time rider... love it.
the final camelbacks, again, offer abundant airtime at a solid pace. in fact, entirely absent of the trim, i could see both the helix and finale being too forceful for the majority.
ride it, folks! i'll be at the park all day today. yes... 1/3 studying, 1/3 riding, 1/3 enjoying the park's much improved food lol. dark blue shirt + blue plaid shorts + blue nikes... don't be a stranger!
