What was up with the park today?

I went out there for some riding before it got crowded, but good gracious it was crowded!

By 11:00 Vortex was using the ENTIRE QUE!!! Which I haven't seen happen in years!

The line for Top Gun appeared to be full, and Borg looked like it was at least 1.5 hour wait!

Did like everyone from the Pro Bass thing decide to go to Carowinds today or something ???

It was really weird. Carowinds is usually never THAT busy. he he

Oh well, maybe we'll get to 2MM this year after all. lol

I think carowinds realized that if they market they will come lol lol. But seriously more and more families are taking trips this year then usual. I guess people are going back to the traditional american family values and doing things as a whole because the average group i see when im at the park is like 4 people. And being that carowinds has everything for every member of the family now so people are prone to go there vers the mall or six flags :D

I have seen it that way before. Thats how it was on Eduacation Day a year ago when I went. And it was like 10:00 or 10:30 (I know it was before eleven.) It was funny, me and my friends stood in line for Vortex for an hour, and we started at the enterance, but, Top Guns lines were right at the beginning of the wooden fence (the enterance) and we only stood in line for 40 to 45 minutes, and Top Gun is a longer ride, and had a way longer line. I don't get that. If I remember right, they were assigning seats on Vortex, so you had to stop at the top of the stairs and had to wait untill you wee told what line to get it. The line would've probaly been shorter if they weren't doing that. I hate it when they do that. We should be able to chose were we want to sit if we're going to stand in line for an hour or more. What's the fun in that. I mean, the front is sometimes better on certain rides, but the back is also fun. If I remember right, the lady stuck us in the middle  I like to be near the front or near the back (preferably in the back seat or front seat, depending if it was my first time riding it. But, if I had rode the ride before, or if the ride is walk on ride as long as you can depending if there is a line for your seat, I normally go for the back or front.)

I'm kind of glad to hear that Carowinds was really busy. I don't usually go on
Saturdays because it is always busier then, but if there was a line for the Vortex
and none of the other big rides were closed, then they must have done well
that day. That's good.

Well I was just trying to make the point that it was way busier than most Saturdays. :(

^Lol I know, I was just goofing lol

Man it must of been really bad if Vortex had a stupidly long line, glad I wasn't there!!!

Yet again, this is sorta a good thing, it probably seriously boosted the number of guests.

attendance for July was up although the rain kept Junes attendance slightly down. I hope they can make it to the big 2 million mark this year.
