Seems every car squeals a bit now on that turn into the station, but i have really stopped noticing it.

I haven't noticed any excessive vibrations, sorry. Not sure what would have caused that.

The only thing that bothered me today were two snotty teenage girls that felt it would be ok to take selfies and video during the entire ride. When I mentioned to them the multiple signs and that fact that if they lost grip of their phones they could really hurt someone, they rolled their eyes and completely didn't care and then went giggling off into the crowd. All I wanted to do was take one of those annoying basketballs that every boy seems to play with and bounce it off their faces....but I didn't.

I'm going Saturday. I know it's terrible timing, but it's a coincidence that we'll be driving to our spring break and going past Carowinds, so my parents are letting us go. I am going to have FL+. Even with monstrous lines will I be able to get a decent amount of rides in on everything with FL+? Thanks locals!!

I'll email Jason, the electrician whose company did all the electrical work and lighting. I'd like to know that too.

FURY 325 is just incredible all the way around. No, it's not without flaws, but it's pretty damn close. I have a friend coming to town next Tuesday who will be with a coaster enthusiast from Australia. Then, sometime in May another Aussie friend of mine will make the journey. I always like to hear others opinions of our coasters so there are many fun days ahead of me.

great feedback, sir. yes, please let us know about those LED hexagons!

were you the dude riding with a girl, row 8??? finally got my sunset ride and night ride checked off as well. CANNOT get enough of that initial drop. a smidge part of me wants to see -- in my lifetime -- a 650-foot traditional-lift coaster. leave me alone lol.

dianals wrote:Someone on the Carowinds Facebook page said there was an hour and a half wait for Afterburn today. Anybody there, today, that can confirm or deny this?

afterburn was first on my list today as it and carolina cobra were the only rides i had yet to do. was able to ride it 3 times in a row... this was at about 11am. on my last ride, we were held on transfer for 15 minutes and technicians were called in. i THINK from that point on the ride operated with a single train. i returned to it at about 6:30 (to introduce a friend to the glory of the first row on a b&m suspended lol), and the wait was a good 40 minutes.

We rode Fury a bunch yesterday.

All the good reviews are spot on. It is simply an A+ ride. I had no nerves or anything before the first ride, just eagerness. But it did manage to scare me, badly (that was a first for me on a roller coaster!). I was in row 2, and far left seat on that first ride. When we hit the barrel turn, I thought I was going to get launched right out of the train.  We were lucky and got some some first row and last row rides (and some middle rows). I let my wife have have the far left seat in the back row (because we heard it was best seat) when we got back row rides. I honestly don't think it makes much difference where you sit. You'll enjoy them all. It's just simply great, all over. The first row rides were kind of a blur, literally. The wind will have your eyes streaming tears, if you can manage to keep them open.

The airtime is better than expected. And after riding Intimidator again, Fury the best best airtime ride in the park. People who knocked it for lack of airtime are crazy people. It has 4 sustained airtime moments (and... that first drop) that'll have your thighs pressed up against the lap bar.

Yep, they were only running one train on Afterburn yesterday. And that made wait times terrible (despite what looked like relatively short lines to me). It was same deal on Goldrusher. Also, only two trains running on Intimidator. You jump into those lines thinking, "Awesome, this will be a really short line." And then you stand for 5 minutes without the line moving at all. And 30 minutes later you think, "We should never have left Fury." The ride crews were all very diligent and methodical. I imagine they were trying to get everyone into the habit of achieving maximum safety. The ride crews were not at all pushing for maximum capacity. I have no complaints about that, it was just an observation of how they were operating.

I have noticed that as well. At first I was really wondering why they weren't full capacity and was a bit disappointed, but after watching a while I realized that it seems they can get them out faster and keep things flowing if they aren't having to deal with people trying to ride next to friends and groups staying together, etc. They fill it as fast and easily as they can, lock it down, send it out. The line for Fury really moves fast and that crew working up there is awesome!

I really hope that Carowinds management read these, but they really need to know how great that Fury crew has been. The three days I have been there, they have been busy, but still smiling, still having fun and making "seat assigning" easy and enjoyable. I have fallen in love with Miss Eunice. On media day she was at the start of the line greeting everyone and she laughed at me every time I ran by to ride again. I told her I was going to take her on the ride with me one day and she just giggles at me. The last couple days she has been assigning seats and she doesn't play, but people respect her and she is having fun at her job. She rocks!

On Monday, there was a younger girl working the back of the train on the boarding side. I was waiting to board and told her something smelled really good and she looked at me and laughed. "That's Juke Box and they tease me all day with that good food."

All I'm saying is that the crew is amazing and I have not had a single person be rude or unprofessional.

Monday afternoon about 4:30 Afterburn stopped going up the lift hill as did the train behind them before they came into the station. They were stuck a good 10 to 15 min. The crew did a good job going to the top train and down to the bottom train talking to everyone and making sure they were ok. They got there exercise going up and down those stairs that is for sure. Any way I wonder if they continued to have problems afterwards and could be why they only ran one train Tuesday.

When we were there Friday night, we got stuck on Afterburn for about 10 minutes. We made it back into the station, but our restraints wouldn't lift up. The crew seemed a little flustered at first (being the first night and all), but they kicked it into gear real quick. Same thing, with them walking around, making sure everyone was ok. Even though we were in the station already, I'm sure it's not unheard of for someone to start freaking out if they can't get out of their restraint.
