It has already been confirmed that Vortex will not become a floorless.

I know that. You know that. The person who posted that on Coaster Net obviously does not, but I don't think that's the interesting part. I'm more intrigued that he/she claims Devin Olson heard someone talking about converting something...

Since this is sorta one of those "he said, she said" situations I'm not sure if we should invest any faith in it, but like I said it is interesting.

In my opinion...there is nothing to convert at Carowinds. Out of the 2 woodies, not one of them seem to have an eventful layout that would lead to an awesome conversion. But then again, I don't do that for a living so they could see what I dont see. And besides, who would be out just blabbing about plans like that?

I would like that idea, however, I love how Nighthawks's bright colors just stand out in the park and make it look so welcoming. Especially how it interacts with guests in line and on the midway. Even though we didn't get to ride it on Saturday

^^ I second that idea and replace it with a B&M flyer!

I actually like Nighthawk. Maybe I'm in the minority... But you can't say it isn't an attractive looking roller coaster! 8)

It's really attractive. It may be a bit of a rough ride and not much worth the wait. but it really looks great in the park. But it seems that here lately, maintenance has become a bit of an issue. Would I be sad to see it go? Well, yes if it affects how the park looks and if we lose more water in that area. But ride-wise? No, I wouldn't be upset if we got a better, smoother, more intense (and even better-looking) coaster. Would there be room for a small wing rider? I know that Rob said that Carowinds would benefit from one no matter how big or small. But he said that it would benefit better from a launched wing rider (I hope it's okay for me to mention this now).

I love B&M, but I would rather see them bring something else to the park, for varieties sake.
Like Mack (Helix and Blue Fire are getting rave reviews) or Gerstlauer (I hear Karacho in Germany is really fun).

^^ohhhhh come on' Amos! Who says we'd loose water? Maybe that's the "big splash" after all. My money says we're getting a Sternwheeler 2.0, and seeing the return of Smurf Island (obviously coinciding with a 3rd, and even more terrible movie) Hooray!

The Smurfs are an intellectual property that Cedar Fair doesn't have access to, so it's safe to say that won't be happening...

I don't want to see Nighthawk leave, I actually rather enjoy it. And it was the first "true" flying coaster, that alone is pretty historic.

Is there anyway vekoma could redesign the trains?

Premier did a refurb and changed some stuff on the trains when they came over from the west coast. I would imagine as complicated as they are that a redesign would be very costly.
