Could Road Rally actually be the Carolina Turnpike that was removed from 1991? The track appears to be older and the cars could have been changed.

Carolina Turnpike and Road Rally don't have the same cars.

Carolina Turnpike's cars were gasoline powerd and were built by Arrow Dynamics. The new ones of Road Rally were manufactured by Chance/Morgan(I think) and are electric.

Dollywood also has the Chance/Morgan electric cars(<a href='http://www.coastertown.com/Tennessee/Dollywood/Jukebox_Dollywood/Car01.jpg' target='_blank'>Rockin' Roadway</a>), though theirs are much better maintained(ALL of the horns & headlights work) and have radios that play 50s music.

Also, CT had a different layout that RR, it was longer.

Actually, I think Road Rally is gas powered. I am not sure, if I go soon, I will check.

Actually, Road Rally used Dollywoods cars during the first season because the manufacturer didn't have ours ready in time....

So Carowinds borrowed cars from Dollywood for RR's first season? That's pretty cool to know.

I know that at one time dollywood and carowinds support each other.
