So what is everyone's favorite freebie feast at the moment?

My fav dishes are:

1. Dockside Fries' Carolina BBQ fries
2. Harmony Hall's pull pork sandwich with mac n cheese
3. Harmony Hall's ribs with backed beans
4. Harmony Hall's turkey wing with mac n cheese
5. Harmony Hall's pepperoni pizza and breadsticks
6. Juke Box's Fury Burger and fries
7. Wings' wings and fries
8. Chicken Shack's tenders and fries

All with a souvenir cup full of water!

So the Carolina BBQ are on the dining plan? If so I think I just changed my mind for lunch tomorrow. Those sound really good.

Will the gold letters be returning to Carowinds Plaza? I know we have the nice sign before you enter, but the inside plaza looks a little incomplete without the gold words. I hope they come back.

Cool, nice line up. :-) I didn't realize the Carolina BBQ Fries were included as an option as they aren't on the list, but the Guiness Shrimp are. Never had those either. I'm so ready for some eatin. I know reviews are a bit mixed, but what I have tasted so far is a vast improvement over what used to be sold there. I used to leave and go eat somewhere else or pack a picnic because the food was so bad.

Anyone know why people aren't parking in the corner of the lot closest to the State Line? Seems weird that people wouldn't park right next to the "State Line Path" and walk down past the great American flag.

Yup! I saved the $25 so I could try and win a basketball.

They are using that as "Pay Extra for Close Parking" but it looks like they have either shrunk down the number of spaces or a bunch of people paid that today. Crazy!!

Why pay $25 for those when there are now hundreds of spots that are closer than the premium paid spots from years past.

my thoughts exactly. can't ever remember opting for preferred parking at any park. at least for me, walking an extra 5-10 minutes beats giving away $25. would rather save it for funnel cake(s) lol. but of course, every guest has different factors to consider, so whatever works best!

Ok. On cam, i can't tell that it's a blocked off portion of the lot. Crazy indeed. You're going to walk MILES through the park all day. What's another couple of hundred yards? THAT SAID... this is the reason why they need to keep the South Gate. Can you imagine parking near the grass next to the highway and having to walk to the north gate just to get in? That's a good half-mile. If they remove the South Gate, they'll need to go back to having trams for sure.

Looking at the webcam, it would appear that plenty of people have forked over that $25 for premium parking. I think I will save that on food and souvenirs myself. I wonder if there is a discount for pass holders (i only pay $5 at BGT & SWO for preferred). Even still I probably would just walk the extra distance.

Not that I would do it here but I have paid for preferred parking at other parks just so I could quickly walk back to the car and use it as a locker instead of having to pay for a locker in park.

Just noticed a bunch of people walking up and down the Fire lane under Fury. I'm betting someone opened the gate at the end and now people are walking up it and realizing it is a dead end. oops.
