Okay, that's great. A few people were touching it on Saturday. They didn't touch it to the point of messing something up, but I thought that it be best to go ahead and place the case back over it. Seeing as I won't be messing with it again until the end or May or so, but if all go's well, I may be back at the park next month.

Was there yesterday. The model is in the far corner out of the way to the right of the stage. I walked over and looked at it. AWESOME work!! I can't wait to see the rest. There is a glass (or plexiglass) shield around it that is about 2 feet tall off the table but open on top. People will have to work to touch it over that glass. I could just peer over the top of the glass (which was still wrapped in cellophane).

My guess is that they moved it out of the way until it's finished and then they'll bring it back out. No one really knows it's there unless you look for it. (I had to really look for it because that was one of my destination items on my check-off list) The area against the wall to the right of the stage is about the least traveled area of Harmony hall.

Well, when I come back in May, they'll have to move it to a more open area so I'll have room to work on it. I've been talking to Steve back and forth and we have everything planned out.

I was an art student as well for digital media but had to take every aspect of art as it was in my curriculum and drawing was one of them. Is that charcoal or pencil? This drawings look awesome.

Really nice! The landscape is magnificent, but the reflective light you caught in the gems with the charcoal sketches is sweet!

Yes, they are all charcoal drawings. Quite challenging to say the least. I still have one more to draw though. I'd much rather work on the model.
Speaking of which. I told my college media about the model. We done a quick interview, then surprise surprise, the foundation board handed me a check for $500 today. I was quite happy as that will pay for the rest of what I need to finish the model, with some money to spare. I will most definitely be adding the railroad in the model complete with the steam engine, railroad cars, and people.

I have ordered an HO scale AHM Western & Atlantic Steam engine and tender, and three Jackson Sharp Open-sided Excursion cars for the station replica underneath the bridge.
They should be here within the next week or so. I'll have to repaint them to match the colors and, thanks to Carowinds Early Years, I will be able to match the correct colors!
