Rob Decker described this as something he could ride all day, and people on this board say they have to drop out after maybe 4 or 5 rides. Even the coaster critic said he couldn't ride it all day and gave the ride a 4/5 for rideability. I don't recall feeling the least bit sick after either of my rides on Friday or Saturday, but then again, I only got one ride on each of those days.

Sunday before park opening, I rode it 8 times within maybe 1 hour. I was fine. My wife tapped out after 6 straight rides. I can't do spinning rides, the Carolina Cobra gets my head feeling foggy a bit....but Fury was smooth as silk and fine.

Different strokes for different folks I reckon.

Yeah I did 8 on media day and had to stop after that

It's just surprising hearing of all the sickness in the park on both intimidator and fury. I go to parks alot and went to Carowinds quite a bit last year and never witnessed anyone getting sick on anything. And in all the years of going to parks I've only seen someone get sick twice and that was at KD. I thought it was more rare then what it seems like since opening this year. (I have a phobia of throwing up, took me a while to finally be able to eat when going to parks because I was scared of being sick. Finally after years of never getting sick I was able to convince myself I'd be OK and have been fine since.)

The last time I threw up was 1999, and that was from food poisoning and in the dead of winter so I wasn't riding any rides to cause it.

GAG at the thought of walking around Fury seeing people's barf!

Oh, and I'm curious......with the park being a madhouse yesterday, could someone tell me how long it actually takes if you have fast lane on a day like that? Cuz I think it would totally be WORTH it with those kinds of crowds. It still baffles my mind why people flock to the park knowing it will be nothing but lines all day for all the rides. I refuse to go on days that are supposed to be crowded. But with fast lane, maybe I would? I don't know.

Probably somewhat long. I know CMS along with a lot of other schools have off on Monday.

We used Fast Lane + and we waited in Line for Fury in less than 15 minutes. The wait time decreased as the day went by. It was WELL worth the money.

Hi everyone. Thought I would make an account just to show everyone my Fury 325 model. I made it in my Metal Shop class this semester. I am hoping I will find the time to get down to Carowinds to ride Fury! I hope you all like it. Image Sorry for the light glare. They are super bright LEDS. Image Here it is with the lights off. I know that the lime green should have been lower, but I still think it came out nice.

I was in line when they opened the temp queue. The line was only bad because Fury did not open until 10:30am due to low temps this morning. At one time, the entrire queue line was full with the temp queue in place but at that time I sprung for the Fast Lane plus pass. The regular line had calmed down after Fury was running for a while.

You're supposed to be in Church all day Tarheel. But there used to be a religious theme park just down the road from Carowinds. But I suppose you are too young to remember Heritage USA. Which was actually one of the top attended parks in the nation after Disney. And they had a very nice water park. But I'm sure you've heard of Jim and Tammy Faye. But since we are in the heart of the Bible Belt, perhaps Carowinds could consider adding a religious themed section. And even build a Holy Roller coaster. Or maybe not.

I wore my glasses every time I rode it on media day and had no problems. As long as they hold well to your head as they shoul you should be ok.
