Was at the park yesterday. It was pretty crowded but manageable I guess. I was riding with my nephew who has finally reached 54 inches :) so we hit all the larger coasters so he could ride.

Rode Fury 3 times (1 front, 1 second row, and 1 back row left seat). The ride was great as always - so intense in the front row with the air hitting you unrestricted. Just awesome!

One complaint...the station crew seemed a little slower today but not much. However, my complaint is not their fault. I hate the fastpass system. It really slows the general line considerably. If you will notice when there aren't many people in the fast pass lane the line moves at a nice consistent pace. However, when the fast pass lane is crowded the regular line barely moves. Miss Eunice was doing her best yesterday but it was crazy how many fast passers got to go to the ratio of regular line folks when you get to the station. I don't fault Carowinds or Cedar Fair for doing it but it just stinks.

Also, I am completely baffled as to why Carowinds employees someone to assign seats on rides like Afterburn. We walked all the way up the steps before hitting anyone in line and they were already assigning rows. There was hardly anyone in the entire station! What's the point? Let people go where they want to go. I kind of understand it on Fury but even there I personally do not think it makes the line move any faster.

In addition to my estimation that the Fast Pass line increased the regular wait by 40%, on opening day they were using the back few rows exclusively for Fast Pass. Is this still the case? It meant that you literally could not ride in the back seat unless you purchased Fast Pass or happened to be in line when no one came up the Fast Pass stairs.

I don't know how the crew had been previously being that yesterday was my first visit since media day, but they were flying when I hit the ride ( around 1-2 o'clock). Every train I saw dispatch sat at the bottom of the lift waiting for the current train to pass the sensor before climbing the hill. The line seemed to constantly move, and the guy in the station on the mic was constantly coaching people to get moving, get seated, and dispatch quickly...It was slightly annoying in his persistence but it got the job done. But perhaps I just hit it at a good time.

I really enjoyed your video, one of the best I've seen. Thanks for sharing.

Stay tuned because I'm making a video of all the coasters from the footage of my gopro and DSLR! Thanks for the kind words! :D

Just because you think your GoPro is secure does not mean it's truly secure...

Yeah it looked like most of the fast pass line was getting placed in the rear of the train with a few exceptions. Every time I got to the front of the line I would sweet talk miss Eunice into a front or back row seat :)

I was there the 5th and 6th. Easter wasn't too crowded. Waited about 45 minutes for Fury when I got there at noon then hit Intimidator for 3 rides in a row at probably a 15 min wait each. Yesterday I got a Flash Lane Plus pass as I drove 6 hours from VA and it looked pretty crowded. I got front row twice and the second row a bunch of times. Also got the third row a few times. I probably rode Fury325 around 15 times. I also thought the crew was moving extremely fast. There were multiple times I saw a larger guest try to ride and they had to check and re check the restraint until the person was unable to ride. This holds up the line significantly also. So I probably have around 150 credits and Fury will definitely rank among my top 5 coasters. It was very intense but not as much as Intimidator 305. The combination of speed and airtime was great and the first drop is probably my favorite out of all the coasters I've been on. I did notice the rattle sitting near the front of the train but it wasn't anything too major or bothersome. Overall it was a great day and I only stayed there form 10 to 4p. My body just couldn't physically take anymore.

I have got to get up there and ride Fury. I have been following the speculation and anticipation for several years now. I am about 90 mins. or 2 hours away. Maybe this weekend, but I will definitely purchase a Fastlane pass. But still exciting to hear the good reviews so far.

I tried using the wifi on Sunday and I couldn't get it to "work". It connected but it seemed that the connectivity to the internet was bad. Maybe it was just that time. I don't know.
