to the best of my knowledge, the probability of myself winning that prize would be extremely high. i am confident i could hold it together long enough to beast the competition lol. to date, i have yet to puke secondary to any ride buahaha.

The only rides that get to me (in my old age), are things that spin...like the swings, or Scream Weaver. Used to ride them all when I was younger, but not anymore. However, I'd probably pass out from dizziness long before I lost my lunch.

I just caught up on this thread, reading about all the "protein spills" (as they call them elsewhere), and I remember that my kids saw someone tossing their cookies after we rode Fury last week. I figured it was a just a one-time thing, but apparently not.

Same. I'd get dizzy before I threw up - at least I'm pretty sure. But someone mentioned it not even being hot and humid yet.....If it's this bad now, good lord imagine the dead of summer!

Wow crazy to hear about the pukefest still in full swing. The best I could figure was like some of ya'll had stated earlier about Fury bringing more people into the park that aren't used to riding things that are more intense. It definitely makes me more nervous to get on anything. That would be the worst thing ever is to be thrown up on. That's one of the main reasons I hate assigned seating as well, because when there's only two of you there they sit you next to two strangers. Strangers that I don't know have ridden before, or if they have just eaten, or won't be able to handle it. Seeing someone be sick will most definitely ruin my day. I can handle seeing it on the catwalks but not actually seeing it happen.

Yep, not only is puking a traumatic experience for me, but it's equally as traumatic seeing or hearing someone else do it or even seeing the aftermath. I'm hoping that this puking thing will ease off if the fury craze dies down in the near future.

I can't wait until the grass gets all green around all of Fury. It will make one of the most beautiful coasters look even more beautiful.

^ Same here. With my phobia it's definitely traumatizing lol. I do hope that by only going during weekdays in the summer when *fingers crossed* it's not so packed that I can avoid this. I have never heard of so many people getting sick in a park like that before. In all my years of going to parks I've only witnessed it once.

You know, that's another reason to prefer the front row... No having the chance of someone's lunch ending up on YOUR lap or in your face at 95mph. Riding back row... you should get hazardous pay.

I'm like Mark40511, the thing that would most likely cause me to puke is the sight and smell of someone doing it right next to me. Smells are the worst for me. I'd take the Pukefest Challenge, as long as all the contestants are isolated, so that it's just the rides that are causing puking, not the sight and smell of other people triggering me to feel sick.

And talking about getting old, my wife and I rode Windseeker for the first time. She did not like that, not one bit. Fury is no problem, she'll ride that all day long. It was the sustained height with nothing below. It was hard not to laugh about her not being able to handle slowly spinning swings.

And Capler, that's too bad about not being able to ride Afterburn too much. I realized that is probably going to be ride that I ride most this year by an enormous margin (and that's okay with me). I went for a couple hours yesterday. I figured I'd ride a few rides, have lunch, and head out. Fury line was crazy long. So i walked on to Cobra and rode it once. And I headed over to Afterburn. Nobody was in that part of the park (bummer that Thunder Road was closed). I rode Afterburn probably 6 times in row (a couple without even unstrapping and going back through the line). I went by Intimidator and saw probably a 30 min wait. Fury was still crazy long, so I skipped it. I had lunch and left. I do hope the Fury Fever does cool down a bit.

I feel the same thing about the Windseeker. I love rollercoasters but don't like heights and being that high up and tilted slightly no thanks. I refuse to ride the Windseeker (Some of this stems from the occasional people getting stuck) My kids say I am chicken but it's ok.
