I wonder if this has ever happened? Or is it always AFTER the ride is over? Could you just imagine? I can't even................

Someone mentioned the line was really long at Fury the other day so they passed it by. I wonder if the line was coming out into Fury plaza or if it was still in the normal queue area. I got in the line on Monday and they were utilizing the entire queue area (not overflow or into the plaza) and it still only took 50 minutes to get onto the ride. I was really quite impressed with the speed of the line moving.

I went on Windseeker on a windy day, and that rattled the hell out of my nerves, have not been back on it since. On the puke thing, I was traumatized by it in grade school. The kid sitting in front of me at the table decided to throw his food back up into his lunch plate. The teacher rushed him off but the rest of us were left sitting there for an eternity smelling his puke. It was terrible, I 'd rather deal with poop if I had to choose. Needless to say, I could not be a nurse or a housekeeper. Blood don't bother me because I'm use to it, being a biologist.

Hit the park after work yesterday and regular queue was full for Fury. Thankfully, no temporary queue though. Waited 1 1/2 hours. Fury broke once..not sure why but I stayed in line. The staff was a bit slow this time around. There were only 2 people working the train and it looked like they were dead tired. Also the person at the queue entrance was not checking for bags. I noticed about 10 people bring bags into the queue line. Oh well, soon they will get the hint.

Anyway, I am grateful for the season pass. Rode Fury once and didn't feel like waiting in line again and left to pursue my other pasttime...beer drinking at one of the breweries.

Planning to hit the park again today and probably tomorrow as well.

If I remember correctly from WW it was said ( not sure if by Mike or John ) that they may try to have a viewing party or something for it in HH. Not sure if they are still working on that...a lot may have changed since then.

I asked the camera man for the Travel Channel on media day when the air date would be. He said the show will likely air in late June, early July. In the past, Travel Channel usually does their amusement park specials around the July 4th time frame (when most people take vacations).

I got a chance to come in from Cincinnati to ride this over the last two days. When I initially saw the animation I thought it had the potential to be the next Millennium Force. As it turns out it's actually much better than that!

I got six rides over the visit, two rides in each of rows 1, 3, and 8. I actually prefer the front on this coaster but I don't really believe that there's a lot of difference between any of the rows. It's a great ride in all seats. Everything that other reviewers have mentioned is spot on; there are unexpected pops of air all over the place, it keeps its speed all the way through and is very smooth. It literally has anything you want in a coaster of this size.

I went in thinking it would contend for my #1 coaster spot, and I still underestimated how good this ride is! This coaster is absolutely sensational and took my #1 spot with ease. By way of comparison - of the steel coasters located in Canada or the US ranked in the Golden Tickets last year (40 total) I've ridden all but 5 and every one in the ranked in the top 25. This is a destination coaster by any measure. Kudos to B&M and Carowinds for creating a masterpiece!

Well I rode it on Monday, and here is what I thought:

-Arrived at park and got in line at 10:30. The wait took a quick half an hour and we were directed to the last row.
-When the lift chain speeds up near the top it's almost terrifying. There is no time to prepare for the drop, and it seemed too short. (I desperately wanted to get a ride in the front that day to see the difference, but I'll get to that in a bit)
-I blacked out at the bottom. It goes so fast, I don't know it just knocked me out or something. This has never happened to me on a ride before. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it just caused me to miss what the second drop was like, for I have no memory of it. :(
-The horseshoe turn was crazy forceful at the top, and it gave me a massive headache (again something that takes at least seven rides on Intimidator to occur for me). The drop down under the bridge felt great, though. "Weightless" is the perfect word for it.
-The rest of the ride is really fun. The helix didn't feel slow, and the last two airtime hills made me giggle like what Thunder Road does to me...

So, after my first ride I was on the fence. Either I was dehydrated / my body was not prepared to ride Fury FIRST, or I incredibly overhyped it and expected it to blow me out of the water, which on that ride it didn't. My group and I went on to ride everything else in the park after that. Intimidator actually felt more intense than my first go on Fury, which made me upset because I knew it is not nearly as tall or fast.

Later we got back in line for Fury, and I was determined that luck would have me placed near the front this time. It didn't. We ended up in the 5th row, so not in the back, but not in the middle or front. I was bitter because I expected a similar experience to earlier that day. However, this time I did not black out on the first drop, and it was not nearly as "in the blink of an eye" quick as the first ride. When you're at the steepest point it feels like you could just fall out if you really wanted to. I can't imagine what it must be like in the front, and I still have yet to experience that. The rest of the ride was great, with the exception of the top of the horseshoe, which gave me another splitting headache.

In the end, Fury 325 is a great ride. It just requires some preparation, I guess. It tossed me around and was like a steel version of Thunder Road in that it had me laughing the whole way. Intimidator doesn't do that to me, but is still a great ride in its own right!
