I have no interest in the 4D coasters. They seem like glorified spin and puke rides to me, but maybe my opinion would change if I actually rode one.

I thought the exact same thing until I rode one, actually, Jonathan. On the Arrow 4D, it's so controlled, it's not really like 'spinning'. On the Intamins, it isn't controlled the same, but it's still not the same thing. I tend to get sick with inversions that have strong positive G forces. The 4Ds that I've ridden do not have that, it's airtime mixed with inverting.

A water park expansion really doesn't excite me, but I understand why it may be under consideration. But I personally don't go in the water park. But if it is going to be a big splash, I hope it is a big new log flume or water coaster. If there is even going to be a new ride or just the water park expanded next year.

well said. I've ridden both X2 and Green Lantern and it's like a night and day difference. X2 is smooth, for the most part, and utilizes the rolling and spinning more so to add to the experience of the coaster. The timing is superb and coincides pretty perfectly with the special effects and turns/drops of the coaster. It makes you feel like you're kind of gliding along the track more so than tumbling around. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Green Lantern just made me feel like I was inside a washing machine being bounced and tumbled around like a ping pong ball. Its jerky, quick, ill timed on the rolls, and just unpleasant. The G's on X2's first drop are awesome, but not too overwhelming, since Arrow perfected the spinning and overall, there isn't an excess of it throughout the ride. The G's you get on Green Lantern are just awkward and once again, not timed well or controlled(or so it seems). I'd vote for an S&S if they are even still in the business of designing 4D coasters.

No no no, God no, this can't be happening! Thunder Road is a classic and IMO the best non B&M at Carowinds. Please tell me this is a maintenance thing!

And the 5 stages of grief begin.

It's just Thunder Road calm down it's not that great. Hardly anyone rides it anyway there is never a line for it. Good bye to a classic but hello something better for sure!

If it was already closed for that purpose, there would be a fence blocking the entry and exits. Bruh is just adding fuel to the fire.

The fire was already roaring, it didn't need 10 gallons of gasoline poured on top. Back on topic.. I'll be really surprised if it isn't a water park expansion.

I was there when the picture was taken. Barbwire may be right.

Would they really go through the effort of testing the ride and getting it ready for the season to operate it for less than 20 days?
