Are you sure they didn't say something different that sounded like that? I'm not questioning you, it's just the fact that I'm not even sure what "too smooth" feels like.

Im not joking. Seriously it sounded just like something like out of RCT. "Fury 325 is too smooth for me!" :?
(And also the thing about people not wanting to ride only came from one group of 6, but still.)

Is it almost as annoying as people posting here announcing every time fury 325 is stopped, not stuck, on the lift or brake run?

^ I know I know I'm not doing anything to help the problem :P I just found it funny that it did happen while I was there. And I just realized I used stuck instead of stopped when I meant to say stopped whoops, I even remember thinking about that when I posted it

Yeah, it was listed under #10 in the little pamphlet. It wasn't a booth but the funnel cake place by Cobra. Not the one by C&P but closest to the water park. They had a champagne strawberry one, a peaches and cream one, and an orange dreamcicle one. I remember reading on the website that they were supposed to have a banana pudding one and another one that I can't remember, but I didn't see those.

OMG Waco (oops WSOC) again is reporting more trouble for our great ride and park and they are doing it on hear say from the general public. I am more and more turning against that station as they do not know true journalism. So many of their stories never get to the bottom of a situation and are so mis guided.

They're running it right now. Obviously testing and working out the kinks. Let's hope they figure it out by Saturday. I plan on being one of the first riders on Saturday before my daughter's Palladium show. (I guess if I get stuck I can have a birds eye view.)

Since there is quite a bit of chatter about the media coverage of Fury 325, I was watching News 14 Carolina this past weekend waiting for the weather on the 1's and they had a short clip about Fury 325. They appeared to have done their due diligence and mentioned a quote from the park about how all of this is normal to ensure a safe guest experience but nothing about how unsafe things are or blowing these stops out of proportion. to News 14.

This is, after all, only the second hyper coaster that B&M has built that is over 300 feet tall. To add to what Tarheel1231 mentioned, there are pictures of Leviathan in the B&M hypercoaster page. http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/product/hyper-coaster

I get tired of responding to people. Every time Fury gets stuck, someone posts on my FB wall. After 77 rides, do they really think I am scared of being stuck on Fury? I'd be more afraid of being stuck on Windseeker.

Just heard it 45 minutes ago on the NC radio network news. Went to a birthday dinner with family on Saturday, and that is all they were talking about. Many said they were not going to Carowinds because it is unsafe. The conversation was started by someone saying 'you hear about all those rides breaking down at Carowinds?" Their minds were made up and there was no changing them. I personally feel the park is handling this situation poorly. They need to get it under control by dealing directly with the Charlotte media. The GM need to meet with station managers and explain that these type of erroneous stories are hurting the park's bottom line. He should also give them his personal number so they can call him and ask questions whenever someone sends a picture in. After awhile they will learn this stuff is common at any park. Unfortunately you can't stop folk from putting this stuff on Twitter and you can't stop the media from searching Twitter for breaking news. This is now a big state news story. Heaven forbid something really happened at the park, and someone got hurt, this will then become a national story.

Here's why this stuff should matter to all of us. If Cedar Fair is going to keep investing in this park, they have to reach the attendance goal set. A bad reputation as being an unsafe place is the very thing that could keep people away.

Working at Tweetsie this weekend, I had multiple people say that they were glad we had a better safety record than Carowinds and things like that. I explained the truth about Carowinds and Fury so much over the weekend its not funny. This news thing is bothering me so much. Carowinds is being severely tarnished because of the laziness of our local news.
