I wouldn't mind them having pass holder night ride events on selected dates throughout the season like Cedar Point and Kings Island does. Each date hosts select rides from 10pm to midnight which would also include one night for ERT on slides in the waterpark. Just not sure how they would distinguish the pass holders from a regular guests. maybe wrist bands upon entry or something or just show it as you enter the queue lines

All they are really saying is “oh look, the coaster is stuck” without any hard facts that something is legit wrong. Has the stops even made national news? It seems it’s only the local news stations sensationalizing the situation. Carowinds hasn’t even bothered to make an official statement right?

Isn't there a park that already has a launched kiddy coaster?

Yea, my daughter rode her first coaster there(Slideshow Spin). We went back in 2011, I don't get the connection between eggs and China.

I knew nothing about Viking Voyage before going to Wild Adventures. I told my wife she should try it as it looked fun and tame. Boy was I wrong - I don't know of any better way to describe it than INSANE. WOW. Best coaster in the park IMO. She didn't like it.

^^I feel the same way about Viking Voyage. I was utterly shocked when I rode it. It's crazy that it's the best one (IMO) there. I re rode it several times. I think Cheetah is a close second. That SLC tho? After it being down ha;f the day I finally got on it before leaving the park. That was the WORST ride experience of my life on an adult size coaster. I got the credit...won't ride again unless they get some new style trains/restraints.

Speaking of restraints, I think Flying Ace Aerial Chase should get the new trains....if that's even possible. Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot America in Orlando was a much more pleasant experience than the older trains. I've been on the one at Carowinds 2 times and it beat my head to death. I know it's meant for younger riders, but that's ridiculous.

Did they really expand on the 2016 plans at the Charlotte Chamber meeting and tell attendees to keep it a secret? I have never seen a publicly traded company share future plans with a subset of investors who didn't have a need to know.

I'm new here but have been a lurker for a few so... HI!!

I heard a commercial on the radio earlier for a water park and at the end it said "and coming soon Riptide Racers"

A racer would be cool. But I wouldn't want just a straight racer like the bump slides at the fair. Maybe something like Taymata Racers at Aquatica with some tunnels and turns at the beginning and a steep drop to begin the racing section at the end. Of course make the tunnels and turns the same lengths so that friends could leave at the same time from the platform and end up side-by-side when they made the big drop into the racing section.

I think the one in Orlando has a timer for each lane but that sounds like just something else that would end up not working after the first season.
