Instead of Hurler getting a full RMC upgrade, I'd like for RMC to come in and getting a full topper-track re-track. It would also be cool if it had tunnels throughout the ride, maybe one leading up into the station. The ride has potential to be the best wooden coaster at Carowinds, but it's just so rough. Imagine a Hurler with El Toro smoothness.

GCI is already retracking the ride. It runs very well they the spots that have been done.

I would love to see Goldrusher's trains be redone so that the lap bars accomodate tall people and loading speed picks up. As long as the cycle takes, it's insane that on two-train operation the other train completes the cycle and has to wait for the train before it to load and dispatch. New trains would be prohibitively expensive for an old ride like this but if they could just improve the lap bars, maybe even going back to the original design, it would be a huge improvement in comfort and capacity.

I went on Gold rusher last Friday and I was bummed to discover that I no longer fit. I would fully support new restraints or new trains.

I have to cross my legs to ride Goldrusher, and I'm 6'0". A friend of mine is about 5'10" and doesn't have to. Aside from height, it depends a little bit on your build.

I'm 5-9 and if I DON'T cross my legs my knees get banged up. I also vote to restyle the trains back to their old design back when BOTH of my parents and I between them could fit in a seat.

I wanna see this original design cause I worked at Goldrusher and heard the same rumor then. The only Arrow Mine Trains I have seen with different lapbars are Hershey and Great Adventure both redone in the 2000s.

I have dug for pictures but never found any.

I have never understood why goldrusher's lap bars are connected between rows. If one adult rides with three children either the children have an ineffective bar or the adult gets crushed. It would be a great ride if the lap bar system was improved.

Because each car is controlled by one pedal. I bet Arrow had capacity and effective In mind.

I also would like to see corporate or whoever re-designed the mobile app to integrate ride wait times per app per park. that'll be great.

I've been going to the park since 1990 and all I have ever remembered were the current restraints. But, I've been wrong before...

Hi all! Welcome to the all new “Official Carolina Goldrusher Restraint System Thread”. Why didn’t we think of this earlier?
