I could be wrong, but I don't think B&M uses a ratcheting lap bar, therefore there would be no way for it to 'click' into place. Either it is locked into place or it isn't. It isn't coming up an inch, it's coming all the way lose. The way the restraint works is the normal 'on' position is for it to be locked. While in the station, an electric current unlocks the restraints.

Are you sure you weren't riding Hurler next door?

If you want to really nerd out, scroll about midway down the page and read Rideman's post: http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Topic/bm- ... r-question

ASTM F 2291, in its guidelines for "Class 5" restraints, calls for restraints that are either redundant or fail-safe, and calls for a secondary restraint. The secondary is not required if the primary is redundant. Four latches would be considered redundant. I am not sure if there is a secondary latching mechanism...for example, it would make sense if the link arm did not release the ratchet pawls directly, but instead released them indirectly via a secondary cam which would also have to be activated with a release mechanism. I do not know if B&M employed such a system or not.

I have rode a few coasters in my life. Not nearly as many as some of you, but a few. I spent about 3 minutes trying to respond to this, then realized I drink too much, and i'm lazy and don't want to type out a novel. So, let me say this; I like Fury. I like Millennium Force. However, Magnum is in my top two, and Intimidator is my "Oh Crap, I Wasn't Ready Yet!" coaster. I love roller coasters! I can even let out a "SQUEEE!!" on Lucy's Crabby Cabbie.

I remember being nervous the first time I rode X-Flight or Shivering Timbers. I remember getting heat stroke waiting almost 2 hours in line for Mantis. I know I was a spring chicken last time I rode The Big Apple at New York, New York in Vegas. (I would have rode High Roller while I was there, but i'm afraid of elevators. So, well, couldn't get to the top of the Stratosphere).

I look forward to riding the new Mantis, err, Rouga-whatever they're calling it now. Crap, I will still ride Dragon-Iron first thing, cause it's a tradition with me!

Roller coasters make me happy! Whatever coaster i'm on at the moment, is the best one is the chain!

You waited 2 hours for Mantis and still ride Iron Dragon? Now that's dedication.

While I think Fury 325 is a better ride, Millennium Force gets a huge bump from being at CF's premier park. Fury goes a long way towards changing that perception. But for the forseeable future, CP (and by relation, MF) is the gold standard.

But if you want to get technical, MF isn't even the best ride at CP. Maverick is.

325,000? At the beginning of the season?! I wonder how many people have attended the park! Fury325 performed way better than I thought it would! (not that I expected it to fail, I just thought the performance would be similar to Intimidator's.)

Cool! Is there like an odometer or something on roller coasters that keeps track of how many times it's traveled all the way around the track and back into the station?

How weird would it be riding a roller coaster with the train all to yourself? Haha!

I got to ride it by myself a few Sunday's ago when the park was virtually empty! It was nice to sit In silence and just enjoy the roar of the coaster and the wind in your face.

I like the idea of it, but personally I think it would work better if it was darker. Like if maybe you could find a dusk or well-lit night-time shot? (Then also it wouldn't show scuff-marks from shoes as easily.) ^-^

Most ride have either a button to count empty seats or a button to count riders. 1 push = 1 seat or rider.
