Cedar Fair seems to have been pleased with Wonder Mountain Guardian as they are going back to Triotech for a dark ride at Knott's. http://www.latimes.com/travel/themepark ... tml#page=1

Developed by Knott’s Creative Director Lara Hanneman and her team, the new ride travels through six scenes depicted on 11 curving video screens ranging from 20 to 70 feet wide. The ride vehicles will rotate, change speed and even briefly pause as they move between video screens separated by three-dimensional themed sets.

After entering a submarine, riders will be launched on a four-minute underwater journey through the murky waters beneath Knott’s Berry Farm, where they immediately encounter the Kraken queen’s evil minions. Ray guns will fire blasts that instantly freeze and then break apart the mechanical sea creatures.

I'd expect to see one of these style rides at Carowinds within 5 years.

Probably not. I guess im lazy and not a fan of too many shoot-em-up rides. I do enjoy men in black but that seems to be the only one...

As would I. These are probably "the next windseeker" in that they'll likely be making the rounds at several CF parks.

The Action Theater might be a good place, but I personally would like to see it go in the area where the Carolina Cobra bathrooms are. Since that is the Boardwalk area I'd love the themeing to be pirates (or more specifically Blackbeard's Revenge). That's something inherently Carolinian. And they even have a 4D pirate film on the Triotech website.

I really like the possibilities this type of ride can bring. Zombies! 4D at Canada's Wonderland sounded really fun, and they could literally switch up the type of Haunt attraction every year if they wanted to. There are several "scary" ones on the Tiotech site, and they no doubt could have anything imaginable made since it's all animated. The possibilities are endless and that certainly peaks my interest.

I don't care so much about them taking out the action theater but would rather see them do something creative with it. I think that is a good location for another theater/show area - they just need to do something good with it which doesn't include the current (lame IMO) dinosaur movie.
