I think Screamscape is wrong about Thunder Road leaving in July. Thunder Road is listed as one of the attractions scheduled for ERT during the September Run and Ride Event. Don't know if this will change, but it does go against the removal rumor.

Now that Rougarou is up and running, it's getting great reviews. It was a bit of a gamble for CF. But now with the positive response, I wonder if they'll consider doing the same for Vortex. A Vorgarou, if you will.

According to FamousAmous, it'll never happen cause he was told as much.
According to the CEO of the company, it's something they may consider in the future.

Personally I doubt it, but it could happen if Matt thinks it's a good idea.

Ok so let me put my foot in my mouth. King's Island is opening a petting farm called Snoopy's Barnyard Friends this summer. If it works out there I suppose it would work at Carowinds as well. I'm sure the children would love it and I do love taking pictures of animals at parks.

Kings Island going to the animals

MASON, Ohio (WDTN) – Kings Island is trying something new this summer season.

The amusement park known for its thrill rides is opening a petting farm, Snoopy’s Barnyard Friends, on Thursday.

Visitors will see alpacas, miniature horses, goats, turkeys and more. 60 animals will be on display.

There will also be educational shows four times a day to teach you about all the creatures.

It will be open daily from noon until 6:00 p.m. through August 23 then weekends until November 1.

The farm animals are provided by Honey Hill Farm in Berry, Kentucky.

This is not the first time Kings Island delved into the world of animals. You might remember the monorail ride in the 70s that took you through a zoo of exotic animals.

^^That thing would be SO awesome if it could take over yo-yo's place... It could even be themed to Afterburn-ish stuff!

That model has 12 seats. If they had a ride cycle of 2 minutes (it's about 2.5 min in the video) with 1 minute unload/load time combined they could get 240/hour, which of course is not realistic on a ride like this. It would definitely take more than a minute to unload, load then check. I'd love to have one of these at a major park here, but realistically the capacity is probably why we hadn't seen one. The only one I'm aware of in the US is at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall Of America. I could see somewhere like Fun Spot Orlando getting one.

Well it is a flat ride, not to many are people eaters. Just look at CW, their flats are all low capacity but it still works some people have no problem waiting. I like the fact that you can control whether or not you spin just by adjusting the wings. Jetp you took my thoughts. That's exactly what I was thinking for a theme, the Wright Brothers.

That great! Hopefully we get one in place of the mini-golf course!
