Matt Ouimet stated that there are no new amusement darks planned for 2016. I'm hoping we get a water coaster like Deluge to set Boomerang Bay/Soak City apart from the other two major water parks in NC (Emerald Pointe and Great Wolf).

So you're telling me that you'd rather not have Intimidator, Fury, improved food, and so much more just so TR could stay? Don't get me wrong, I am very saddened by this news and very disappointed in Carowinds and Cedar Fair for this decision, but Cedar Fair cares a lot more about Carowinds than Paramount ever did.

Even though Cedar Fair just installed the world tallest, and fastest giga coaster? Even though they are putting 50+ mil dollars into carowinds to make it the Cedar Point of the south? Even with all that you want Paramount back? I'm sorry... but that's got to be the most stupid thing i've ever read.

You guys are starting to get a little ridiculous. Yes, the loss of Thunder Road is terrible and dissapointing, but Cedar Fair has done a lot of good for the park as well. The fact that the loss of one coaster, (yes, I understand that it's a classic and an icon of the park. I'm just as sad as you all are) is enough to make some of you want to set fire to Cedar Fair HQ is a little over the top. Heck, Carowinds never said that it was leaving, just that it was giving it's “last race”. Does this mean that it is leaving for good? Probably. But, it may still be here to celebrate it's 40th birthday, just in a different form.
